This one will be tipping 25 to 30 minutes after the conclusion of WV/Campbell Co. game. This will be a very tough one for the Tomcats. They can no way match the athleticism of Trinity. They need to just come out firing and hope for the best. I would love to see the 16th region pull this off and reach the semis. I just don't see it happening.

Pulling for Ashland but this is a David vs. Goliath type matchup.

Trinity leads 13-3. David Johnson just picked up his 2nd foul, though.

2:05 in 1st, T leads 15-7.

After one quarter, Trinity leads 18-8. David Johnson has been out since about midway through 1st quarter.......2 fouls.

Trinity leads 23-10 with 3 minutes left in 2nd.

Ashland had to shoot the lights out to have a chance here, and that's not happening so far.

At this point Ashland's patience is only hurting them. Sure it's admirable that they're trying to be calm and calculated, but when it boils down to it they need to put some points on the board so just go ahead and shoot the daggone ball. The more they hold the ball they're just increasing their chances of turning it over.

Halftime? Score?

23-12 Trinity at the half.

Rocks with way too many unforced turnovers.

23-12 Trinity at the half.

Only 12 points at the half, ouch!

Ashland has to be happy I think that the score is not 30 or 40 to 12. They (Trinity) scored 35 on Johnson Cent. on Wednesday in the first half. They have to do better from 3 than 1 for 5 in the 2nd half. But I think they are fortunate not to be down worse that is how I would address it with my team at the half. I'd say "guys we only scored 12 points at the half to one of the top 3 teams in state and are only down 11."

Only 12 points at the half, ouch!

Only 4 of 14 from the field. But Trinity hasn't run away with it yet. The Rocks played as poorly as Ashland the last half of the second quarter after going up by 13. Ashland needs a great start to the second half or Trinity could pull away like they did with a dominant third quarter against Johnson Central.
