Has there ever been an official rating?

my son is a senior at cov cath, and from my understanding, there is a big group of junior who go but do not cheer, as a result of this, the freshman and sophs are not able to hear because the juniors are not cheering, this is my understanding of why it has been down

Correct, but a lot more has gone wrong than just that. IMO it will never be the same as 03-04, even when the football team struggled.

IMO that was the best senior class in a long time.

That sounds like something a coach would say to his yeam before playing a rivalry game.

I knew Congington Catholic had a great cheering section from seeing them at Rupp, they were great. I however did not know that you all got so pumped over your student section. Not that its a bad thing, its always nice when fans really get behind the school. Apparently you guys at CCH definately do.I also hear they play basketball and football well too.

Cheering section is about pride at CovCath. If the student section isn't performing, it is considered by the students as an embarrassment reflected on them.

I always remembered getting antsy waiting in the days just before basketball season because the cheering section was about showing school support.

When students graduate, one of the things most missed is the time spent in the cheering section. As much fun as it is in there, cheering at CCH is taken very seriously.

CovCath recently emerged as a spot light of cheering during the 2004 Sweet 16 because it was the first time that much of the state had been exposed to CCH, but the cheering has been that good for long before that, but needed that one shining moment (pun intended) to show everyone.

That class of 2004 was a very very good senior class.

It's CCH in a blowout, great creativity, travel well(my guess is there were more CCH students than LexCath students last Friday in Lexington), solid participation and almost a fealing that your carrying on a tradition

I've been to a couple CovCath games and I would say they have the best student section. Even when they played AT Beechwood earlier in the season there was more blue in the crowd than red.

Trinity's student section was extremely animated at the Male game this past week. It reminded me of the Cameron Crazies

Cov Cath has a famous quote "A spirit that will not die" (i think that is correct), i have been to many football games and basketball games were Cov Cath has played and their student section is incredible.

Love the CovCath student section and hope to see a lot of them in Paintsville!

I dont think

One of the new papers should do that it would allow the students to compete with one another as well as root for their team. It would also probably increase attendance to sporting events.
