November 20, 200619 yr So you penalize the team that lost to the better team and allow the teams that lost to the weaker teams play for the National Championship? Right. That's only logical...
November 20, 200619 yr If you can't win your conference you shouldn't win the national championship. So there will never be a championship game with two teams from the same conference? Regardless if they're the best two teams in the country or not?
November 20, 200619 yr And now we compare UM and USC. USC lost to a bad team. UM lost to #1 by 3 on the road. Check mate... Sure. If you choose to ignore the schedule difference, I'm right there with you.
November 20, 200619 yr Lets look deeper. How good was Arkansas when USC beat them? Horrible. Nebraska hasn't done anything special, and who has Notre Dame beaten this season? Heck, in this case then we better ding Ohio State since they played UT when their rookie qb was playing in his 2nd game, right?
November 20, 200619 yr Author Sure. If you choose to ignore the schedule difference, I'm right there with you. I would love to see USC go to Arkansas tomorrow.
November 20, 200619 yr I would love to see USC go to Arkansas tomorrow. Arkansas may not be any better today with their revolving qb situation.
November 20, 200619 yr And now we compare UM and USC. USC lost to a bad team. UM lost to #1 by 3 on the road. Check mate... And you're not biased at all, right?:sssh:
November 20, 200619 yr Author Heck, in this case then we better ding Ohio State since they played UT when their rookie qb was playing in his 2nd game, right? If you can't see the significance in the difference of Arkansas from beg. to end then you aren't as smart as you seem on here.
November 20, 200619 yr Author Arkansas may not be any better today with their revolving qb situation.
November 20, 200619 yr If you can't see the significance in the difference of Arkansas from beg. to end then you aren't as smart as you seem on here. I guess I'll somehow take that as a compliment. Your point of trying to assign value to a certain point of the season is simply unrealistic because we have to keep taking it out further and further.
November 20, 200619 yr Author I guess I'll somehow take that as a compliment. Your point of trying to assign value to a certain point of the season is simply unrealistic because we have to keep taking it out further and further. So you think USC would beat Arkansas 50-14 Saturday in Hog territory?
November 20, 200619 yr IMO the National Championship game this year should be between the conference champions from the Big 10 and the SEC, the two best conferences. So with that setup you would have the winner of Florida and Arkansas against Ohio State, because they beat Michigan to claim the Big 10 title.
November 20, 200619 yr And you're not biased at all, right?:sssh: Is that all you've got? Like I said. Check mate...

So with that setup you would have the winner of Florida and Arkansas against Ohio State, because they beat Michigan to claim the Big 10 title. That's an idea. Rate conferences and not teams. Whomever wins the toughest two conferences plays in the National Championship...:creepy: :creepy: Then teams like Louisville will never have a shot...actually, neither will Notre Dame. I like it!
