Kudos to Cooper team for shutting him down. Now it will be interesting to see how SK responds to this Butt whipping. They got Dixie on Friday night in Edgewood.

Cooper is boring to watch offensively but very effective as a whole.

Michael Spencer has held Niece, Allen, and Draud for a combined 22 points!! Very impressive!!

 

How long was Allen on the floor before the injury. Still very impressive.

Based on this game, either Cooper is going to run with the region this year, or SK just isn’t very good. This score shocks me.

 

I wouldn't judge SK after one game but that was as much domination I can recall vs my Neers.

Sully is a terrific coach. He has built a culture and system that will produce a winner every year. I’d be shocked if the Jags ever had a true down year with Sully as HC. Great motivational coach and character builder in addition to the defense first mentality. Great job Jags on demolishing a good team!

I’m not super surprised by this. South Laurel put it on SK over Christmas, and if memory serves, Cooper beat SL in a scrimmage to start the year. I know it’s a scrimmage, but still... Also, Newport had SK down by 20+ in Lexington before the JV went in, ended up winning by 15 or so. Cooper is playing out of this world and is a top team in the 9th, if not the top team. I think they beat CCH in Park Hills. They don’t have just 1 or 2 kids you have to stop because they have 4 or 5 kids capable of having a significant night. They play as a team. Defensively, they are excellent.
