At his own expense? I don't completely buy that. He is not going to let a D coordinator do his own thing without Marv's approval and input.

Chuck led a Super Bowl D, and was brought in as a "Marvin guy". Marvin made it clear when he let Frazier go that he wanted a DC that ran the show on that side of the ball. If Marvin is usurping Chuck's role, it just might be a major part of the problem...

Other than Billick, what HC has a role in calling every play? Gibbs? Parcells? Darth Hoodie? Lock Jaw? Negative on all of them. They let their coaches do their job, and when it's not getting done, they make changes...

I am not talking about being involved in specific calls but game strategies. Are we going to blitz Rivers or not? You don't think he gave his input leading up to Sunday? You don't think he might have said 3 and over 9, I think we blitz him and make him make a quick decision. Or maybe Frazier said it and he concurred.

Let the free agent thought go. Teams do not win in the NFL because of what they add in free agency. Point blank...

This I could agree. But so much of that Monday-Saturday is extremely important and determines what plays Chuck calls. You think he is going to blitz on 10 of the first 20 plays if the game strategy (not play calling) that Marvin has had input on didn't call for blitzing on Rivers?
