tcjkbt Posted January 3, 2019 Posted January 3, 2019 The Shamrocks meet the Tigers at Bellarmine University Friday night in a battle of the top-rated teams in the 7th Region. This is always an intense game. I predict it will be very tight. We'll see.
Guest BehindTheLine Posted January 3, 2019 Posted January 3, 2019 If Johnson is out, I like St. X, they play hard and they are very tough/physical!
tcjkbt Posted January 3, 2019 Author Posted January 3, 2019 What's the status of Johnson ? From what I heard earlier about his healing time, I imagine he is out...but don't know for sure.
The Double Deuce Posted January 3, 2019 Posted January 3, 2019 I like the Rocks, with or without the UL commit.
Tigerpride94 Posted January 3, 2019 Posted January 3, 2019 I think Trinity by 10. St.X defense should keep them in game but don’t have enough offense fire power. Trinity showed they are still very good team without Johnson. Go Tigers!
Smallhoops Posted January 3, 2019 Posted January 3, 2019 It is extremely unlikely that David Johnson will play, either Friday against St. X or Saturday against Scott County.
LongTimeReader Posted January 4, 2019 Posted January 4, 2019 I think Trinity wins. Don’t think St. X can score enough to hang for 4 quarters with Trinity.
TheDeuce Posted January 4, 2019 Posted January 4, 2019 Trinity has sold their allotment of tickets, and X is likely to this afternoon, so no tickets will be sold at the gate for this one. FYI.
Tigerpride94 Posted January 4, 2019 Posted January 4, 2019 Bellarmine only holds 2,100. With a sellout should the game be at bigger venue? Valley holds 3,000 and regional tournaments held there but long drive. Broadbent Arena holds 6,000, but you get ripped with 10.00 parking fee.
tcjkbt Posted January 4, 2019 Author Posted January 4, 2019 I agree, T-pride. We need a 5,000-seat arena besides Broadbent. The Armory/Convention Center/Louisville Gardens/Gardens was useful in that role despite its lack of attention from the city fathers. It is in such bad shape - environmental and otherwise - that I doubt that it can be rehabbed. I hate traveling to Valley for the LIT and regional tournaments. It is in the extreme southwestern tip of Jefferson County. Good luck to both teams tonight.
