Did Desmond Ridder play at QB? When I saw just a little of the game late, the QB was Moore.

Ridder injured an ankle late in the first quarter and was replaced by Moore.

That makes the win more impressive .

Moore played a great game. He had some really good runs that surprised VT.

If he can get UC into a NY6 bowl game, he's gone. If he can win 3 bowl games of any kind, he's gone. If he can have 3 years of 10 wins, he's gone. If a team from a Power 5 conference comes calling, he's gone.

Fickell is a different type of dude. He isnt enamored with the P5 tag and programs. He knows what he can build at UC and he isn't leaving for just any P5 job. He has deep roots in Ohio personally and professionally so it's going to take an Ohio State/Michigan/Michigan State type offer to pull him away from UC.

He's already winning recruiting battles against the Big 10, SEC, and ACC so conference affiliation isn't hurting his recruiting pitch. Going to a NY6 bowl game every year is even more reason for him to stay at UC.

For as long as his wife tells him. They have 5-6 school age kids. His oldest boy just started HS.

Yup. He'll leave eventually, but he isn't looking to jump at any opportunity that presents itself. As long as UC takes care of him and supports the program he'll be around until something opens up that he can't refuse...
