December 15, 20187 yr They are not on the same level as Florida they are better than them. It’s not about who is a better team. Surely to God you understand that.
December 15, 20187 yr I don’t have an issue with UCF turning it down. What I have an issue with is the inevitable story we’ll hear that nobody will play them. If you want bigger schools to spend one of their OOC games to play you then you have to compromise. You need the game and they want the revenue. You’re UCF, you don’t get to pretend that you’re on the same level as Florida. If a team offers you a game that can improve your schedule and potentially get you into the playoff, then don’t complain when that team wants to do it on their terms. Florida doesn’t need UCF, UCF needs Florida. Compromise is 2 games in the Swamp and one at UCF. Signing a 3 game deal without a home game isn’t compromise, it’s ignorance. Plain and simple...
December 15, 20187 yr Compromise is 2 games in the Swamp and one at UCF. Signing a 3 game deal without a home game isn’t compromise, it’s ignorance. Plain and simple... Then UCF can’t complain about nobody playing them. Florida has to make playing UCF beneficial to them. Florida gets nothing on the field from playing UCF in fact it’s basically a lose lose for Florida on the field. The only way Florida would play UCF is if they were benefiting financially from the deal. Otherwise Florida will use their marquee OOC games against Power 5 schools.
December 15, 20187 yr Author A 2 for 1 with 2 in Gainesville and none on UCFs home field. I’d tell them to stick it where the sun don’t shine... Who says not on their field? He offered to play in Orlando...isn't that where UCF is?
December 15, 20187 yr Author Yep. The P5 will NEVER give G5 teams a fair shake. Even in a so-called “2-For-1”, the one is at a neutral site and all the money still favors UF. I agree. Tell them to skate on. Is there a neutral site in Orlando? Seems like he's offering to play UCF in Orlando, where its located, right?
December 15, 20187 yr Who says not on their field? He offered to play in Orlando...isn't that where UCF is? The deal does not include playing at UCFs stadium. UC playing at Paul Brown Stadium is not a home game for UC. They play at Nippert Stadium. This isn’t hard...

December 15, 20187 yr Is there a neutral site in Orlando? Seems like he's offering to play UCF in Orlando, where its located, right? Camping World Stadium. Home of the Citrus Bowl...
December 15, 20187 yr Florida is more worried about playing Colorado State, Charleston Southern, Northern Colorado and Idaho lol.
December 15, 20187 yr Author The deal does not include playing at UCFs stadium. UC playing at Paul Brown Stadium is not a home game for UC. They play at Nippert Stadium. This isn’t hard... I've read two articles and neither mentioned it being played there...that's why I asked. It's not hard, to be polite either.
December 15, 20187 yr I've read two articles and neither mentioned it being played there...that's why I asked. It's not hard, to be polite either. They don’t mention it because it would change the narrative. Florida has no interest in making a fair offer, so they do something they know there is zero chance UCF would agree to and boom here we are. The P5 heavy national and regional media spin it to make UCF look bad for not making a terrible business decision, and the general public laps it up as if UCF won’t schedule Florida. Rinse and repeat...

December 15, 20187 yr Author “I think we offered them a two-for-one like we do with most schools in their position, which is actually really a good deal,” Mullen said when asked about a potential game against UCF. “They have the opportunity to have an SEC school play at their place. It would potentially be a big deal for them. I know I’ve done it that way. When I was at Mississippi State we did it; we played some two-for-ones with schools in a smaller conference. Getting the opportunity to have an SEC school is a big plus for them. Scott brought it up to them."
December 15, 20187 yr I’ve talked to three different people with knowledge of the situation and they all say the actual deal was 2 at the Swamp and 1 in the Citrus Bowl. UCF came back with 1 at Swamp, 1 at UCF and 1 neutral and UF said no. I’d agree if UCF turned down an actual 2 for 1, they look really bad claiming no one will play them. That’s a fair deal given the current landscape...
