Turnovers were the Camels demise again vs Ryle.

They had their chances, just couldn't capitalize like Ryle did.

 

Murray is a lot of fun to watch. He initiates the hitting as a RB. He is top-notch.

 

Not sure I understood the quick kicks that gave Ryle the ball at midfield on 2 or 3 occasions.

 

Watershed season for the Camels. Really good junior and freshman classes in the pipeline so things should only be getting better for them.

 

I'd be interested to hear from folks who were at the game, if they too thought the Ryle player touched the ball on the punt inside the 10 in the 1st half that Campbell pounced on in the endzone.

They proved they can pass too.

 

How many passes did they complete? Maybe we were at different games.

I don't like to say I told you so... but I told you so. I still predict that Ryle makes it to the final.

 

Their draw definitely makes that a possibility.

I think people are still not seeing how good Murray is. 32 more carries for 158 yards. 4 of the penalties were on one player. I don't think the Ryle staff will let that carry on to next week. Also the time of possession was 31:30 to 16:30 in favor of Ryle. Man do they like to run the ball!!!

Well this person certainly didn't doubt Vince. Everyone was saying, stop Murray, stop Ryle. Well as I predicted, CC couldn't stop The Deuce.

I certainly saw the same game you did. I'll be interested to see how we'll stack up against Meade. From what I remember they contained Farris pretty well?

All I know is were undefeated at home this year, and play tough there. I was a little disapointed to see Campbell Co. have more fans turn out then Ryle, but that also credits there program and how far it has come. They came out full force representing there team to the fullest. Good run Camels it's nice to see both of use having a good season.

I was disappointed to see that as well. I sure hope the community rallies around this special group of kids and supports them the rest of the way. They certainly deserve it. Only the 2nd time in school history that Ryle has made it to the 3rd round.

I was there, close enough to see, and I still honestly couldn't say. It was close though, I'll say that. I was wondering about the quick kicks as well. Possibly, it could be to negate Ryle's punt return, that hurt CC a bit in the 1st matchup. But, IMO, when you have a kid like Griffin, toss it up and give him a chance. Give all the credit to Ryle's D once again, for forcing CC turnovers. They've done it all year, and this may very well be the best defense in school history.

Nice win for Ryle Congrats to CC on an awesome season they are such an improved team.

...and what is sad, is Ryle will have zero chance against Trinity or Male, if they can't pass the ball.

 

If you remember the 1st scoring drive, they tried to throw it twice on 1st down, which surprised CC. Behnke ran the 1st one and completed the second. They ended up with a FG.

 

They have to do more of this; it is too difficult to go 80 yards on the ground; one mistake or bad play and the drive is stalled.

It was a great season for our Camels, the best that I have seen in over 20 years. Coach Styer, staff, and players should be proud of the accomplishments that they made this year. We Believe should be all Camels motto!!!

The fan split was 50/50 at best! The Camel "Believers" extended from the left side of the stands to across the front of the press box. An amazing showing for a road playoff game! :dancingpa

 

Nonetheless, the stands were packed and a nice turnout for two great teams. You can't have a solid football program without a strong fan base.

 

Congratulations to the District Champion Raiders! You were an excellent opponent. Also a big congrats to our District Runner-ups -- The Fighting Camels! You have helped put the Pride back in "Camel Pride".

Again the 4th quarter was our down fall. We contained them through 3 quarters, but you have to play the 4th. When you raise your arm and show 4fingers, you don't do it just because everyone does it, you do it because it means something and that it means you step up and play at the next level. That's what ryle has done in both games, and so you have to give them great credit for understanding that aspect of the game. Ryle plays very hard and shows alot of heart. I do love there toughness and hope they move on to show that nky 4a football is well represented. Good luck on your journey.

We also have to give my Camels alot of credit as well. These kids have come from knowhere and showed how great coaching, hard work,dedication and the passion for the game on everyones part can take you to great hieghts in life. These kids have nothing to be ashaimed of. They showed alot of heart and they played thier butts off. The tradition of Camel football is on the rise and is here to stay for along time. These boys will never be forgotten in the Camel nation.
