The crowd Ryle brought was really nothing. I would expect that kind of crowd for any home game with this Raider team. They are very good, and are having a season you won't and haven't seen around Ryle in some time. The crowd was nothing to crowds we had against Cov Cath, and Boone back in 98,99, 2000 there were people outside of the school piled on the hills to watch that game. It was cool that it was crowded, but there is plenty more room at our place for me people to come out and watch the 3rd round game....

I am not sure why you think the attendance for Ryle was small, it was not!! It was a standing room only crowd, with 2/3 of the bleachers being Raider fans!!

I thought that Ryle has never won a 2nd round playoff game before last night. When did they make it to the 3rd round before?

We watched game from the Raiders sideline, and looking at the Full bleachers it was clearly 3/5 camel fans. They filled there side and even were coming onto the Raider side of seating.

I'm with PB on this one. Don't get me wrong, it was a nice crowd, but I've seen MUCH, MUCH bigger in the past. With the success that these young men are having I'd like to see the community rally around them and come out and support them. That being said, I know plenty of you do already, and to you I say :thumb: . I do believe they made the 3rd round in '99, I double check to be sure.

...and what is sad, is Ryle will have zero chance against Trinity or Male, if they can't pass the ball.

If you remember the 1st scoring drive, they tried to throw it twice on 1st down, which surprised CC. Behnke ran the 1st one and completed the second. They ended up with a FG.

They have to do more of this; it is too difficult to go 80 yards on the ground; one mistake or bad play and the drive is stalled.

I've said it for years, if Shaun Alexander couldn't do it, then I'm pretty sure it can't be done. I don't know about zero chance, but it will certainly be tough to beat a team like Trinity or Male relying solely on the running game. Gotta get there first though, Meade Co. up next!

GREAT SEASOn CAMELS!! Congrats to the Camel senoirs and the ledership they showed this year, they will be missed. Also thank you to the coaches for believing in us, exspecially coach Styer. Also thank you to all the parents and fans for the great crowd last night you all were awesome. I expect great things for Camel football for next year and many season to come.

The fan split was 50/50 at best! The Camel "Believers" extended from the left side of the stands to across the front of the press box. An amazing showing for a road playoff game! :dancingpa

Nonetheless, the stands were packed and a nice turnout for two great teams. You can't have a solid football program without a strong fan base.

Congratulations to the District Champion Raiders! You were an excellent opponent. Also a big congrats to our District Runner-ups -- The Fighting Camels! You have helped put the Pride back in "Camel Pride".

To Ryle. Now show Meade the "Mower".....Murray Mower that is! Make No. Ky 4A football proud. Good Luck!

Not that it matters at this point, but at least one-half of the stands in front of the press box is always full of Raider Fans, as it was last night. The same people sit there game after game and has been that way for years!

Thanks for the Congratulations, we will make NKY 4A very proud!

Everyone on the ship couldn't believe how uninterested the Ryle fans seemed, especially compared to Campbell Co. One Ryle parent I was around called it embarassing. Another suggested that they hire CC fans and give them orange shirts for next week.

To everyone who thought Ryle's defense was overrated... you were wrong. They straight stopped the pass. Brown was better than advertised and time and time again threw into good coverage and completed passes. Eventually though coverage will win. GRay locked the middle down and called it his own. 25 locked Griffin down. Gray got there late once, and I remarked that he had to get there earlier. He then stood the reciever up and someone else stripped it. Amazing play.

46 had a huge night for Ryle (and apparently upset the CCHS coaches). They ran speed option and tried to option him and he made Brown pay. He crushed him. He also had a big sack. He flat dominated.

Ryle would have scored more points had they not thrown one pass the entire game. They did pass some effectively and they can throw the ball, but why throw when the other team flat can't stop your running backs.

CC crowd was louder, and bigger on the big side of the bleachers. I sat on the smaller side and mostly Ryle people sat there. Not many people on that side seemed too interested. Ryle might have had more total fans, but not near as many that were into the game.

How did he upset the coaches?

How did he upset the coaches?

Not real sure, but they threw some kind of fit after the game.

My observations.

1) The Camels are a very good football team.

2) Camels fans are very good and the Raider fans should take some lessons.

3) Ryle is a tenacious team.

4) Both teams play well as a team.

5) Raider #13 blocks very well for Vince Murray.

6) Murray and Gray are great leaders for that team in orange and black.

7) Josh Morgan played a great game.

8) More Raider fans need to get out and support our boys next week. Hey, this is not an opera. It's OK to get loud. Maybe we can hire a fan participation trainer from Campbell.

Best wishes to all Camel seniors. All of us who played football can remember the disappoint of that final h.s. game and how you feel. Great season at 8-4.

How did he upset the coaches?

In defense of CC coaches, it was young assistants that were upset. Coach Styer and Culp were very classy.

Thank you to Camel players and coaches for a great season! I am sorry that it had to end but you must give the Ryle team credit, they made the plays when they needed to and took advantages of our mistakes. As for the Camel Nation.....you were awesome this year. I would venture to say that at most away games this year the number of fans in Purple matched or exceeded the home crowd and in spirit we won hands down! Now let's not stop here.....let's keep that school and community spirit and come out and support all Campbell Co activities. To the booster parents of the football team that gave of their time and efforts to make this year a special one, thanks. Your special touches will be remembered by the players and isn't that why we do what we do? Band and cheerleaders, :thumb: thanks . And Greg Rose, I will miss hearing "And that's a Camel FIRST DOWN!" maybe Ryle should hire you to come in this week and show them how it is really done because it just did not make it Friday at Ryle. They tried to copy that Camel spirit but it couldn't be done.

Good luck Ryle, we will be rooting for you the rest of the season BUT watch out next year.....we will be back and we believe!

No Thanks. You can keep Mr. Rose in Campbell Co. We think Jay does an EXCELLENT JOB as the voice of the RAIDER NATION.
