Ryle 26 Campbell Co. 10

Thank you to Camel players and coaches for a great season! I am sorry that it had to end but you must give the Ryle team credit, they made the plays when they needed to and took advantages of our mistakes. As for the Camel Nation.....you were awesome this year. I would venture to say that at most away games this year the number of fans in Purple matched or exceeded the home crowd and in spirit we won hands down! Now let's not stop here.....let's keep that school and community spirit and come out and support all Campbell Co activities. To the booster parents of the football team that gave of their time and efforts to make this year a special one, thanks. Your special touches will be remembered by the players and isn't that why we do what we do? Band and cheerleaders, :thumb: thanks . And Greg Rose, I will miss hearing "And that's a Camel FIRST DOWN!" maybe Ryle should hire you to come in this week and show them how it is really done because it just did not make it Friday at Ryle. They tried to copy that Camel spirit but it couldn't be done.

Good luck Ryle, we will be rooting for you the rest of the season BUT watch out next year.....we will be back and we believe!

You will find that the Raider Faithful will not take kindly to any critcism of our announcer, Jay. He is hands down the classiest and most impartial announcer around! Even when his own boys were in the program he always gave both teams equal time and equal praise. Jay, keep it up, we love ya!

I think you missed the point....I just thought the crowd didn't quite make it when he promted for a response. When he started announcing every Raider first down it made many of us from Campbell smile, it is nice to try and get the crowd pumped up and having fun. It really helped this year at the Pyramid but then I guess that was apparent with all the fans that followed the Camels program this year. It was a good time which kept bringing back the fans. Winning helped as well. I will say that your announcer did a good job announcing the plays and giving credit to the players. Really was not a slam on him I am sure he is a classy guy, much like the rest of the Raider Nation. Good fans, nice facility.

Camels thanks for a great season !!!! Best year since the 94' team that only lost twice. Both times to Shaun Alexander and his Boone Co. Rebels. A special thanks to the seniors. I can remember watching you as freshman. You have brought Camel football back to respectability. Good luck in your future and its great to see some school spirit back at CCHS after its absence for so many years !!! Go Camels and thanks again!!!!:dancingpa

No Thanks. You can keep Mr. Rose in Campbell Co. We think Jay does an EXCELLENT JOB as the voice of the RAIDER NATION.

Jay is a classy guy, as evidenced by his 2 sons Cliff and Reid, and he does a fantastic job on Friday nights. I wouldn't trade him for anyone else, but especially not for the CC guy. That would make me start to listen to the radio. No offense CC people, Mr. Rose just isn't my cup of tea(much in the same manner that Mr. Broadus isn't yours).

Agreed. You'll find some pretty staunch support for Mr. Broadus around Union, and I've never met anyone with a bad thing to say about him.

3 times.

That's nice camel1 to hear you support this program!

It was a great season for our Camels, the best that I have seen in over 20 years. Coach Styer, staff, and players should be proud of the accomplishments that they made this year. We Believe should be all Camels motto!!!

This Camel team of seniors deserve any and all congrats. These kids came to a program that was in such shambles and considered by many to be a joke when they were freshmen. But, they believed. During coaching changes, administration disregard, and settling into their own, they believed. They took a risk, put it on the line and finished in a way no one outside of our area would have thought possible. And THEY DESERVE the credit.

The example they set will carry the Camels forward. The youth programs that developed in the last year alone will pay huge dividends in the coming years. CCHS is now on the map and many will remember when this all started. That date is now.

Thank you seniors for setting an example. You may be students in the classroom but you taught many of us how to believe.
