Where will third game be played?

Featured Replies

I'm not sure if there are enough neutral site college fields in the state. Ohio has a great deal of small colleges that can neutrally host the game. There are a very few in Kentucky:

Major Venues

-Papa John's Stadium

-Commonwealth Stadium

Large College Venues

-Murray State

-Western Kentucky

-Eastern Kentucky

-Georgetown College

-Morehead State

Small College Venues

Probably not big enough to host a playoff game; similar seating as many high schools

-Campbellsville

-Union College

-Cumberlands

-Pikeville (I think they actually play at Pikeville High School?)

-Thomas More

-Centre

Great list, thank you but our field is better than one mentioned here in NKY. Georgetown would be next closest for us. We will play at home.

I didn't say you had to play games at any site. I'm just giving a list of options. In my mind there aren't many good sites and therefore playoff games should all be on campus.

Rockpride:I think we will just play at home on our own fieldturf infront of our small crowd. We haven't had many problems getting to Louis that first weekend of Dec. We can wait our turn but thanks for offering us to rent the Pizza Palace. It is much more fun playing there for free one time each yr if we are fortunate to get there.

I sure wish you had us to go against.

I am sure we would love to schedule a school w/1000 boys to play against our school of about 650 total in the high school, that is boys and girls combined. You all dress more boys on the team than we have total in the high school.

This thread is going ????. It started out about where the games would be played if so and so won. What's happening??

Back to the topic...

I believe it goes like this: The highest seed will host through the 3rd Round (Regional). If both teams are seeded the same the even # District will host the 3rd round on even years and the odd # District in odd years. At the point of the Semi-State the Region of the given year even or odd will host the game regardless of seed.

This statement alone tells me that your opinion isn't based on much knowledge of the situation. Especially considering that in recent years the attendance has been higher than 35,000.

I just dont remember the attendance being that high. The finals when they played I dont think were. Is there any place the attendance is officially listed?

NCAA rules do not permit a university to provide their facilities for free. They must charge rent for any activities.

The link provided earlier in the thread actually covers attendance for the last 5 years I believe.

The reason the finals never drew the same crowd has to do with advance warning. The Trinity-X game in September is always on the same weekend so it is easy to schedule around in advance to make trips cross country as needed. There is only 1 week advance warning for the state finals so the crowd that usually makes the trip in September from out of state cannot make it back in that short a period of time.

This is what happened....

Your right, the spoiled Louis teams will get this game at Pizza Palace!!

Got it...

NCAA rules do not permit a university to provide their facilities for free. They must charge rent for any activities.

This can mean 1 of two things...that:

1 - The University doesn't officially own the Pizza Box...

2 - the fee of the concessions, counts as the charge for Trinity and X.

This is what happened....

Got it...

And your point is? I stayed on the subject of where the game would be played. It is funny how some posters are relentless and just keep hammering away. It's like the old saying "beating a dead horse in the mouth."

I get all the Louis schools fans points. Play at the Pizza Palace every game. Like I said it is a thrill to get there once a yr and once a yr is enough for all us poor little schools. Too bad the big 2 won't get to play each other in the finals this yr in front of their 35,000 + attendance! Good luck to both.

^ I was just making sure that you were aware that you took the gloves off. Good luck ;)

Actually you missed our point, or if nothing else the overall details of our arguments as the 35,000 never occurs in the finals. If you want reasons search in the previous 10 or so posts.

You all in Louis are the best, nonstop. I know you won't get 35,000 in the finals because you won't have people flying in from all over the country. The football fans in KY won't all show up because they have seen it before and it is old news, not interesting to the whole state any more.

I get your point just like playing w/your minds.
