I just need clarification on the hurdling call in the first half the killed BG momentum. Can someone explain that for me?

Thanks it was the line play. South controlled the line of scrimmage and disrupted Buchanon and stuffed Tisdale in the backfield. Penalties didn’t help either team they both need to clean that up.

Bush has it called on him earlier this year. Apparently you can not try and leap over a player during an open field full speed run.

 

Two players closed in front of him to make the tackle and he tried to leap over them with his right leg extended.

Honestly I am to but it has to be coming from this safe play rules. I think is to protect both the runners and the tacklers.

You can’t hurdle a player unless he has a body part contacting the ground other than his feet. So if he was on a knee, you can.

I expected the Spartans to win but not by this much. They have been very impressive all year.

South scored more points on Bowling Green than any Warren County team ever had. An important note for the rematch - no Warren County team (who are we kidding - Warren Central) has ever beaten Bowling Green three consecutive times.

SW played great defense all game and BG just didn’t play well at all. Hopefully if BG gets it together and actually makes it to region they’ll get a rematch without the rain and IF they clean up all the drops, flags, and blown assignments and reads they could have a good chance. That’s a huge IF though.

The No hurdling in high school has been in effect since 2012.
