I think this situation is a bit different than Bama's. It was painfully obvious that Hurts was not a good passer and his backup was a stud; even last year. Tua came in and won the natty so he has some cache under his belt. Watching Lawrence and Bryant in the Texas A&M game I don't think you can say that Lawrence was the better qb. If not for Bryant; Clemson loses that game. So i'm sure that Bryant is a bit confused at this point. I'm glad he chose to transfer. If you don't feel like you can use my abilities ON THE FIELD, then why am I here.

This move is in direct response to Tua. No doubt about it. Clemson can’t beat Bama with Bryant. Same could be said at Notre Dame going with Book. Teams are so scared of that offense at Bama. You have to have an elite QB to score. You know as well as anyone that defense at Bama isn’t the same as it has been. They don’t have the depth they once had or the stars. They’re still elite, but not the same level. That offense though is something none of us have seen before. You have to have an elite defense AND an elite QB to beat Bama now. The games are going to be shootouts. When it comes to the playoffs. Clemson can’t get into a shootout with Kelly Bryant. This is why if I’m a Georgia fan I’m getting really nervous. Are they confident Fromm could win in a shootout? I’m not sure.

Well as for UGA; Fields isn't close to being ready so Frohm will have to get it done. I guess Clemson and Dabo realized that their schedule is so bad that they can afford to let Lawrence get game reps and get better.

Nah Fields can’t give you what Lawrence is giving Clemson right now. He’s not ready. I just don’t think Fromm can give you enough either. That Clemson schedule though is disgusting. I will say though that 2 years in a row they lost a game they shouldn’t have. Should that happen again this year, they are on the outside looking in unless we have multiple 2 loss conference champs AND Notre Dame has 2 losses.

Clemson looks bad today. Down 16-7 at home to Syracuse at the half and Lawrence is injured.

I’m assuming Kelly is still enrolled at Clemson since he hasn’t graduated. Any chance he changes his mind?

Get benched so transfer. What happens if the new starter flops? I know he is good but he could be injured and he could be right back in.
