My friend that lives over in Danville told me he heard today from a person within the program Reese Smith is out for the rest of the year and hopefully is ready by playoffs, If that’s true a big blow for Boyle.

Reese broke his hand, will put pin in it Friday. Could play some in a couple of weeks.

I could see this as well. The only outcome that would surprise me is a Boyle County loss. I wouldn’t be surprised at all to see a struggle win.

I wouldn’t be surprised at all to see Reese sit out the next couple of games and then play defense against Lexington Catholic if needed and then rest again until he is needed in the playoffs. The LexCath game is the only game on the schedule where his services might be needed. They should be able to win and develop other players in his absence in the rest of the games on their schedule. It is essential to their playoff success once they get to the road games that Reese is as close to 100% as possible. I have to imagine that is the long term goal regarding Reese.

This might be the most injury plagued Rebel squad I can think of in a long time.

Reese could be back for the Garrard Co game and should be back for sure against Lexington Catholic. He has a high tolerance for pain. He scored 20 pts. in a basketball game last year after breaking a finger in the first quarter.

Just talked to coach Leffew he said Reese would miss this Friday and their off next week then he will be back for the following game which I believe I believe is Garrard.
