If you are referring to me, let me say that, in my first post, I did not intend to "make fun" of Sportsfan of KY. I was only pointing out that the idea of getting that many shots off in one game is going to be tough to do - much less average that for a season.

Dont know yet There is a new kid that made the team that is 6ft4 or 6-5 strong kid also Shawn williams will be coming out from the football team there is talk he is good as well,also I think Gatlin Barker and Joey White is also playing.I can tell you that Blanton,Selby,and Mayhey,also Branham.My guess it will be Shawn or the big kid.:thumb:

If I recall, Greenup was the 63rd District champion a year ago.

I believe the thread was about the 16th "Region", there still is a regional tourney after the district isn't there? My comment was due to GCHS has usually represented themselves well in the region tourney but lately I just don't think that they have played up to their potential. I don't know if there are internal problems or not down there but it just seems that something is wrong.

Yes that IS what I'm saying. Most games Weddington didn't shoot 10 shots, Maynard will get at least 10 shots a game, so I do think so. I do agree that 15 shots per starter will be hard to achieve.

As usual Cubster has a solid pre-season poll. I would, like some others before me, state that although West Carter has a new coach, they have some pretty decent talent returning and feel they could be moved up a few spots to maybe 11th or 12th. Maybe a shuffle of one or two teams a spot or two, but overall, another excellent job by our resident high school pollster expert.

As usual Cubster has a solid pre-season poll. I would, like some others before me, state that although West Carter has a new coach, they have some pretty decent talent returning and feel they could be moved up a few spots to maybe 11th or 12th. Maybe a shuffle of one or two teams a spot or two, but overall, another excellent job by our resident high school pollster expert.

I would say from the opinions of some of my respected friends here on BGP

West is probably a few notches too low. I was basing my poll on the heresay of coaches and others in the region. I am sure Coach Webb and the Comets will prove to be much better and by my Week One poll will be inching closer to the Top 10.

I know from experience coaching the hometown team can be both rewarding and frustrating. Good luck to a former great player and even better person in his new job this season.
