Courier article said Coach was quoted as having two starters out. Starting DE and a TE with undisclosed injuries. The DE would be back next week. Also, he said the Rocks stunk and were outplayed everywhere getting only 7 first downs and 125 total yards.

 

First loss to a Ky team since Nov. 2015 when Male beat them in their Championship year.

Coach is right, they were absolutely outplayed.

Great win by Male- If what Males Coach said is true about their biggest Defense lineman is around 215. I do not see how in the world they would stop Scott County from running straight at them, not going to out run Male that's for sure. I think SC should be number 1, just because they have played a harder schedule, well I think they have could be wrong

What is the reason Herron did not play last night?

 

Understand was sick last week and all thru he week and did not practice.

Just got final game stats that bears out the Dogs dominance over the Rocks. 1st downs Male 18 vs 7; Rushing Yds. Male 235 vs 81; Passing Yds. 65 vs 55; Total Yds. Male 300 vs 136; Possession Male 31:23 vs 16:37. Not sure about the passing yards for Male.

Just verified that Male passing offense of 65 yards. Was told the Dogs completed 18 of 23 passes. Was convinced there had to be a typo. Nope data correct. That is a lot of completions for 65 yards. If math is correct that is an average of 3.6 yards per completion. Controlled the clock on both the ground and air. Would like to hear some observations from game attendees. Shovel passes? Screens? Swing passes? Multiple passes that resulted in losses? How do you complete 18 passes for only 65 yards?

Not sure but I know their QB ran the ball a whole lot and was a big problem for the D.
