August 23, 20188 yr I hate giving book recommendations because everyone’s tastes are so different. For someone who isn’t into reading, you need the plot to move quickly; no slow burns or meandering discripions. Also need to keep them short and avoid overly complex story structures or syntax and also steer of clear of ideas that either require significant explanation or are left open by the author. Fab Five by Mitch Albom The Killer Angels by Michael Shaara ... I’m stuck and it’s almost midnight. Maybe tomorrow I’ll think of another.

Eckert (completely ignoring @Getslow's excellent criteria for selecting a book for those with low motivation to read) The Hobbit - J.R.R. Tolkein. I don't usually fancy fantasy literature but Tolkein is different. I read the Hobbit in 8th grade and couldn't put it down.
