Frankfort Over rated.

Frankfort’s lack of depth killed them late. TNHS got the ball back up 2 with about 8:00 to play and never gave it back up again. Dale Satterly’s first-down run on 4th and 10 from the FHS 26 sealed it.

Key play that came back to haunt Frankfort was when TNHS scored the go-ahead TD midway through the third. FHS went offsides 3 (or was it 4?) times and TNHS was able to walk it in for the deuce.

 

Frankfort immediately answered a few plays later but was stuffed trying for the conversion to tie.

No, they were 3-8 last season and made the playoffs.

 

Maybe you're thinking of Nelson County who had a long losing streak before beating Marion County in the season finale last year.

Not enough Depth yet, to many silly Penalties- to many turnovers for the Panthers.

 

Hats off to TN they made plays several times when they had too.

 

As for Frankfort being overrated. Maybe so for week 1. Let depth develop and young Offensive line come together and the answer will be no.

Turnovers will get you every time. Still, even with that and a young offensive line, I expected Frankfort's strong skill players to put up more points.

Frankfort was in red zone 3 times last night and had some type of mistake that took them out of the scoring position - bad snap, penalty, fumble. They left points on the field.

 

They also had a kick return for TD called back in the 3rd quarter.

I don’t have the sheet nearby, but it seems like it was 15-4 with TN getting 3 of those on their final drive. I think it was either 3 or 4 against FHS on the XP after TN got the go-ahead score.

This game was frustrating to watch to be honest and, what was with the time keeper? (controlling the clock & playing music during game play) Frankfort having several penalties early and could never get going. Starting at the top Frankfort needs to be more discipline. we are way better then that performance Friday night.

 

Freshmen have to grown up quick, not getting alot of plays off is the norm at FHS.
