My vote goes...absolutely...to the COVCATH COLONELS.

 

I voted for Highlands a couple of weeks ago when the thread came up and after what I witnessed tonight....I WAS WRONG!!!!!

 

My apologies Zach Franxman, Nathan Kater, Andy Schulte, Nick Hudepohl, and Daniel Heath, you are now officially the best.

What did Highlands do wrong to change your vote?

I would guess that the CovCath line moved ahead of the Highlands line more than the Highlands line dropped.

I'll call it a tie since they both did what they wanted tonight.

It was nothing that Highlands did wrong, it was all what CovCath did right. They have improved over the last couple of weeks, they looked very solid tonight.

 

I still think Highlands' line is very, very good, but after the game they are a notch behind the Colonels.

I don't think you crown them after one exceptional game. I think they won the battle of O'lines last night if you want to look at CCH o'line vs. HHS D'line and vice versa. If you recall... the Birds pretty much did whatever they wanted and they have a more mobile line.

 

The CCH line, IMO are big and strong and are very explosive with their straight ahead blocking schme. Getting those guys to pull like the Birds lineman... nahhhhhh.....so they are two impressive lines but also much different.

I can't split the two. They both did what they wanted last night.

CCH O-Line has been playing well for more than 2 weeks. This is a no brainer for anyone who has seen them every week!

Hate to say it but I was very impressed with the Colonels "O" line...The Birds better find a way to get pressure on Blesser or he'll do the same thing in 2 weeks..Highlands line played very good as well....GO BIRDS!!!!!! :ylsuper:

I agree both teams can be proud of the way they played. Unfortunately, or fortunately, there can only be one winner at the end.

I don't think Cov Cath blitzed as many times last night as they normally do. I think had they done so, the yardage could have been different.

 

Since his was the first game I have seen Highlands play this season and am not sure how they did all season long, I will say they are both very good.
