July 20, 20188 yr Author Along with PP92's line of thinking, picking something that I already enjoy...I'd pick winning the Wimbledon Cup. (It's not tennis btw) It would be cool to tell people in that community of people, that I was a past champion.
July 20, 20188 yr Those other choices are more prestigious but at the end of the day a large amount of people will still have to use Google to tell you who won those other events in 2018. Are you implying people know who win the WSOP each year, or just that you don’t care about being well known?
July 20, 20188 yr How much do you come away with at the World Series of Poker? Like $8.5M year I think.
July 20, 20188 yr Deuce, never met you; but I will bet my last dollar you can't run that fast! Im very quick for very short distances. :lol2:
July 20, 20188 yr Either the US or British Open in Golf are the first two things that come to mind. The other thing that comes to mind is to win Olympic gold in the decathalon.

July 20, 20188 yr Are you implying people know who win the WSOP each year, or just that you don’t care about being well known? Nope. I’m implying that people don’t know who won any of those events without using Google so how much fame and notoriety really comes with winning those events. I guarantee none of us know who won every single one of those events without using Google. I didn’t even know Mike Smith was the jockey on Justify until a week ago. Nobody cares who the jockey is. He wouldn’t get recognized on the strip in Vegas. Who won Daytona this year? Who won the Indy 500 last year? Who won the Masters this year? Folks don’t know those answers off the top of their head so forget the fame. I want to win the event I would enjoy the most if only hardcore folks will know I won it. Winning the WSOP bracelet would mean the most for me because in my mind that’s still a realistic accomplishment for me. None of those others are close to realistic for me.
July 20, 20188 yr I’d pick to win the Masters and it’s not close for me. That’s my third choice after Daytona.
July 20, 20188 yr I'd like to be the winning jokey of the Kentucky Derby. I'd be the first jokey in history to win the derby and actually weighed more than the horse he was riding. :deadhorse:
July 21, 20188 yr Winning the BASS Masters Classic would be pretty awesome too. If I liked fishing that would have been my choice. My neighbor is on the pro tour.

The Derby (or really any horse racing event) is about the horse, not the jockey. I enjoy horse racing, and make several trips to tracks every year. And I couldn't name a single jockey that's currently running, without looking one up. Plus jockey's are 5' 2" 120lbs.
July 21, 20188 yr The Masters. You get to come back every year until you don't want to play anymore (or until you start playing so bad that they "encourage" you to hang it up).
