Promised not to say where, but I will say this.....Pop has gotten some very, very, very nice letters of late.........:D :thumb:

Surely, Dayton is out of the running now. Also heard there were Teams in South Bend, and Columbus interested. Not sure of their names though:sssh:

My question is this: Did the best Team win this game? In my opinion, the answer is yes.

I have not watched the kid from Louisville that UK offered but if he's better than Popham......

Rich Brooks is UK's Coach...Nuff said.

I was there, and am just now regaining consciousness. Both teams absolutely left it all on the field. Hate to see the Birds come up short. The Colonels' drive with less than a minute was unbelievable - you just can't say enough about the finish, they certainly lived up to their motto. The last Highlands drive was the kind that I believe they can repeat often in round two. It seemed to me that Jordan Kremer was somewhat deprived of opportunities in the first half. With CovCath having all the MO going into halftime after the interception, with the lead, and getting ball to start the second, Highlands did a real nice job of keeping their composure and taking control of the game. The Birds have to be concerned with how well the Colonels passed the ball, particularly with having a number of dropped ball in the first half. Yet the D-backs were there to break-up few as well. I trust that Drew will be permitted to boom away kick-offs next time around. Well, going in, I felt that this one was just too close to call, and now the teams know each other better yet. A few years back - late eighties, early nineties, the winner of the regular season game fell to the other team in the rematch. This scenario played-out more than once, with the advancing team winning it all in AAA. The stage is set...

I have actually watched them both (finally!!), both very good kickers very impressed with both.

Pop has many 50+ FG’s this season and many FG attempts, Kickoffs deep, no question a great stellar season hats off to him. Strong leg.

Tydlacka (UK GUY) does all three at very impressive levels. Trinity I think attempts a FG every 10th blue moon. He may have 2 attempts this season. Kickoffs very deep. X game was kicking them basically through the uprights. I wish I could describe his Hang time, that’s were I think he has a little on Pop(not a bash to Pop awesome kicker) I just saw a more height with Tydlacka.

Pop has had more FG opportunities than him, but look at what Pop has done with them, several over 50 and plenty others closer. I think with what Pop has done and seeing him having the opportunities to kick and making the long balls, colleges see that on paper and should go after him (cincy would be stupid if they don’t)

Tydlacka is I believe the best punter in the U.S. Yeah he's that good, I think as of 2 or 3 weeks ago he was averaging over 48 yards a punt, and again his height, well, it’s really high. He can do all three at UK but they are using him mostly to punt.

I think it’s great to see 2 high quality kickers in KY the same year. Pop will be a kicker in college, and Tyd. Will for sure be PUNTING and maybe kicking (all depends on how much KY wants to use his leg)

Who has offered Pop, or recruiting him?

Tyd. Of course going to KY, but heard in the wind many top f-ball programs want him to change mind, Nor cough Dame cough cough

Good luck to both now and in future, and their teams

Congratulations CCH! I remember someone, don't want to mention any names on BGP saying that CCH O-Line was weak and would be the weak link to make them crumble. Didn't say anything then because I knew you weren't at the games, couldn't have been. Tonight proves you wrong. O-Line was exceptional.:thumb:

Agree with you!

Daniel Heath #70 is a young man who I personally have know since he was a little kid. I still remember the day when he told me he was going to CovCath, and I told him he would love it. Some college would be lucky to sign him, as he has a ton of upside and has he brains and the heart to play at the next level......

Just have to ask, where was this kicker last year? Congrats to Cov. Cath. Great game. Looking forward to week 2 of the playoffs.

Back-up to Tony Roch, walk on at UK. Pop was the jv kicker last year. It's kinda funny now that people got riled up about his 52 yarder. Now 52 is a common occurence.

I'm too lazy to look but I DO remember someone from 41075 saying that Bleser was immobile. He showed a good feel and good footwork tonight. The kid might not win the 40 yard dash but he's an athlete.

You are correct, he was compared to Bledsoe. He was more athletic than I thought he would be. He is big and strong and made some people miss when he had to..how he got some of those passes off was unbelievable. I still think Clay Cecil runs circles around him and is more of a threat at QB.

If you get any type of pass rush on Bleser you win the game, plain and simple. I thought I was watching the Bengals D pass rush from last year there for a while. You cant put that much pressure on the HHS DB's. Bovard is just scary and Sutton is big and strong with decent hands. He made a nice grab on the TD but looked a little weak on a few other passes that hit his forearms.

I think the Birds watch the tape and come up with a better defensive gameplan to put pressure on Bleser and try to get their athletic LB's in better position to make plays. Too many times they seemed to get sucked up and put on roller skates. I hate to say it but you could compare that last offensive series to one from many years ago up in Cleveland.....a certain John Elway was at the helm.

Duh they forgot to put in the 4th quarter part of the box scores:confused:

Its academic... you take the final score... you subtract out the 1st 3 qtr's and then you have the 4th qtr scoring.....:D
