I went with "Other" because I'm thinking "All of the Above" might be a better answer.

Heck, I come here for the Fantasy Football, TV & Movie, Controversial, and General Discussion just as much as the pro or college sports. I miss the Politics thread because it made me more knowledgable in conversations.

I came here for HS Basketball 15 years ago. Stayed because of everything else.

Same, very rarely do I end up in HS basketball threads anymore.

I also came for basketball back when the East Ridge/Shelby Valley rivalry was a thing that mattered. After graduating, I stopped following high school sports pretty much at all.

So for me, it’s a general discussion forum at this point.

Overall the site and traffic starts first and foremost with high school sports, with a heavy lean on Boy's Basketball and Football. That is not debatable.

I guess if you are asking what my favorite forum is, I would go with General Discussion, I suppose. I enjoy the high school Football forum though and it is ultimately what brought me to BGP.

For me it started out as a place to read up on high school basketball during the Ashland/Rose Hill rivalry back during the OJ Mayo days. Imo, all of the forums are great on BGP but id imagine the money maker is definitely high school football. I won't pick a particular forum myself but I'd guess most ppl come here for high school football info.

I found the site because of high school basketball. Still my most visited forum. Never in my dreams did I know when joining that it would change my life. I have met and made so many friends from across the state that I never would have had the chance to make otherwise.

Thanks @theguru for this wonderful site.

Guru’s uncle said he read about my son on the site so I joined and followed HS basketball deeply for those 6 years. As my boys left HS I got more and more into the other forums. I use it as a news source. Used to see a lot of breaking news on here. I miss that and some of the political forums.

I think this is the consensus opinion we are seeing. The large majority first come to BGP because of a high school sport but it is the general discussion of news and other information that keeps us on here long after that strong interest in a particular high school sport is gone. I also think the high level of discussion courteously with minimal trash talking and no name calling keeps people on board.
