Senzel I think has an 8 game hitting streak going. The Reds could have a solid offensive team if and when they bring him up.

LF Winker

C Barnhart

1B Votto

SS Suarez

RF Schebler

3B Senzel

2B Scooter

Pitcher

CF Hamilton

Bench

Peraza covering all over the IF and maybe some OF if needed

Ervin covering all OF spots

Blandino covering all over the IF

Mes backup catcher

Duvall backup 1B maybe 3B on occasion if needed

^Replace Hamilton with Ervin and I can get on board. Billy & Duvall need to play at most once a week.

I had that thought about Ervin too. Hamilton doesn’t bother me too much in the 9 spot but I would like to see what Ervin could do with an extended look in CF.

Hamilton needs to ditch the Switch hitting. What would there be to lose by experimenting with it? So he looses a half a step out of the box, doesn’t matter since he can’t put the bat on the ball consistently as lefty anyways. I know it’s been discussed before but he’s so much more fluid from the right side, he’s a hacker as a left handed batter. I feel like he could make a living waiting back on pitches and slapping them to right field as a right handed hitter.

He's not as horrible with them hitting him 9th, I'm simply over Hamilton and Peraza ever playing again. Neither is deserving of a 25 man roster spot at this point IMO.

I can’t diasagree with any of this but I’d keep either one of them over Duvall.

I didn't know his exact numbers, just remember he was an all-star.

Power is what keeps him in the lineup.

2016: 33 HR 103 RBI

2017: 31 HR 99 RBI

But the BA/OBP is terrible as UKMF pointed out.

Awful BB/K ratio as well 41/164 and 39/170

At least he's consistent with his numbers. Homerun or strikeout :lol2:

Those RBIs are fool's gold. He's hit .237 with a .291 OBP with runners in scoring position for his career. They'd be better off with anyone in the 4-5 spots in the lineup. 30 homer guys with his BA and OBP are a dime a dozen right now.

Similar numbers to Votto and $24,355,000.00 less in payroll.
