Scott and Simon Kenton's last time to play each other.

Featured Replies

Is it true that this same school system mandates that Dixie, Scott, and Simon Kenton all play each other home and away in basketball each year?

If that is true, then why would a SK/Scott football game not fall under the same edict? Both should have plenty of room on the schedule now that there are less district games.

Thought the same thing....mandated thru Super that basketball needs home and home every year to keep "rivalry's" alive even after redistricting took everyone out of the same region.

I wish when KHSAA reassigned the sports districts that they would take into effect rivalries and traditions. SK should not have been takin out of the 9th region in basketball. I can see why if you are going to make more classes in football, that SK is in a higher class than Scott and Dixie, but the schools should still schedule eachother due to the fact that they are big rivals.

So what if Scott doesn't want to schedule their rivals for a few years? It's in the programs best intrest to schedule winnable games. For a program with only one winning season and only one playoff win in it's history ( and that's one more playoff win than Sk has) an easier schedule is needed to get the students out. As far as 300$ goes Scott has always had a goal for the players to reach in fund raising (if you can't play top notch ball you can atleast look top notch). The only thing i disagree with is what the poster said they were going to use it on, and that is new helmets and jerseys. Didn't they just get those things? I would use it on updating the workout equipment or get what coach Reigler wanted a tunnel leading from the back of the locker room to the field. But I have no hurt feelings losing Simon Kenton for a few years. I'll be excited when the Eagles are .500 or better and Simon Kenton is in the cellar of 6a and the tables have turned.

But coach Reigler didnt charge 300.00 then to get things. Reigler has been gone for 2 years now.

The game is usually close but Scott has only one win over SK in the past 7 seasons.

'05 (6-5) SK 18-7 (2-8 ) Scott

'04 (2-8) SK 14-7 (2-8) Scott

'03 (2-8) Scott 14-12 (1-9) SK

'02 (3-7) SK 13-10 (4-8) Scott

'01 (5-6) SK 44-0 (0-10) Scott

'00 (6-4) SK 13-7 (0-10) Scott

'99 (5-5) SK 14-7 (2-8) Scott

The point I was trying to make is that its' always a close one most of the time.

Yes, your are right and the kenton co. board of ED. knows This was a good rival now this has changed. they are working to try to fix these things. at all kenton co. schools.

its' always a close one most of the time.

Hmm...

Well if this is true and some kids got jobs and parents got jobs and then there is no time to raise money. The parents are stuck paying 300.00 or the kid doesnt play. (So that is what is going on I see clearly now.) I though so.

Again you are wrong they were ASKED to raise money (again key word ASKED) and has nothing to do if you play or not. Also kids and parents having jobs has nothing to do with being able to raise money. I did it I had a job and so did my parents did that stop me from raising money no not at all and it hasn't stop a lot of other kids either.

He to had them raise money for stuff. And a lot more to that stuff which we cant get to on here.

its' always a close one most of the time.

Ha ha,

Because a few parents agree to help raise money let them. The ones who dont leave them alone. Some people have got more than others. dont make a kid sit on the bench because he dont have the money theres about 8 kids who should be playing but dont because of this. Its' all who your parents are at Scott. And you know it.

There are no kids sitting the bench because of money that is the dumbest thing I ever heard. If you have a problem with Scott fine have one but posting things that are not true is rediculous.

If you count getting a senior in for a few plays. playing then I guess I am wrong. you know the parents kids with money. Play the whole game both sides of the ball. So dont' even go there. You of all people know. You Just dont' want this to get out so the kids comming up wont' go to a other school. Thats a fact.
