I am shocked beyond words. I thought SHA would waltz through the state tournament to a state championship without a serious challenge from anyone.

That's a pretty strong statement. There have been quite a few very good teams not win the state and not the first to not even get there.

I can’t help but think that the loss of Erin Toller hurt Sacred Heart a lot.

Sacred Heart beat Manual by 47 in the LIT about 5-6 weeks ago. The GRC win is not the same universe as this upset!

Sacred Heart lost to Mercer County in one game and beat Mercer County by 35 in another.

 

Campbell County beat GRC by 26 in the regular season.

 

Margin of victory can obviously vary a lot from game to game between the very same opponents.

Very, very true! Thinking about the entire season and watching these two teams play, the 47 point loss was more surprising than this win. However, this win is a still a huge upset!

Injury bug hit both Campbell and Sacred Heart.

Hopefully that doesn't happen to Mercer and at least 1 of the big 3 get to play it out.
