Not sure if anyone has commented but this is not the biggest upset of the day! Biggest upset was Manual (who lost to Sacred Heart by 47 in the LIT) beating the same Sacred Heart team 55-52!!!!! Both games are huge upsets but I will put the Manual win two or three steps ahead of this one!

 

And to keep the record fully disclosed, in a third game this year Sacred Heart only beat Manual by 10.

Isn't it odd/funny that her new team won another district title this year, and she won the first championship she had ever won? While her old team again won nothing and was blown out by the same team the Camels took to the wire.

 

Hardly call 12 a blow out, specially when you factor fouling in at the end of a game. And it was great game to watch. But as I said in another thread it was going to be more about WHO had more left in the tank after the previous nights games than the talent on the court. GRC additional depth was big factor in the end.

 

Congrats to GRC. They are clearly playing the best team Bball in the 10th right now and peaking at the right time. Congrats to Lexi. I'm sure she will have an impact at the next level.

The GRC vs Campbell game was clearly the championship game. Campbell had a 25 point win over Scott in the District championship (pretty sure that would be called a blowout)

GRC is playing great ball but as I mentioned Campbell was down a starter and IMO was the best team at full force. Another starter (Wells) did not even play the second half due to the flu. But injuries and sickness are part of life, so congrats to GRC.

They had complete control of the "championship" game vs Scott from start to finish. It was never in doubt.

Campbell and GRC were the two best teams by a wide margin in the 10th this season, only one can advance. I believe GRC can win the state tournament and I will be pulling for them to pull it off.

Agree missing a player can make a big difference, but GRC also had a player that did not play. She was the one on crutches. I believe that our loss to CC earlier in the season only helped us come tourney time.

And to state the fact that missing a starter may have made a difference in a 3 point loss is a lot different than saying a team could have made up 25 points.

GRC was a top 5 pre-season team this year, and that is what they look like now.

29 exhibition game victories?

The camels now bring a very good nucleus back.. they had a great season and dominated local girls basketball and will be a force to reckon with next year We saw several girls on the court last night in a big game and unfortunately one of our best players in Mallory Holbroo was injured but suspect she will be heard from next year

 

Don’t worry about Camels - they will be just fine and back in same position next year

 

Dominated the NKY exhibition circuit? I wonder if they’ll get selected for the NKY Postseason Invitational Tournament. If so Campbell would have to be the hands down favorite.

Campbell had so many blow games this year and that may have hurt them playing in a tight one in not knowing how to handle it.

Wow! I knew they played those teams, just thought I’d act shocked for you. My post was in reference to Purple Reigns orginal post about the camels dominating NKY this year.

 

Congrats to Campbell County on their district championship and NKAC Championship! It was a heck of a season for the purple and gold. Not trying to take anything away from them.
