CovCath shot 62.5% from the field.

Beechwood shot 33% from the field.

Points in the paint won by CovCath 42 - 2.

So outside the paint it was a 43-41 game?

Lol

Big Jake had 5 dunks.

This stat is wrong. I can think of at least 7 layups and short jumpers. Beechwood easily had 14 points in the paint if not more.

It still was lopsided on all accounts as expected.

Glass half full

Big Jake had 5 dunks.

That's awesome!

Fredrick had 21 on 9/12 shooting 3/4 from 3. 6 assists 4 steals. Played maybe 3 quarters.

I was passing along what was said on the broadcast. Wasn't there, so it's possible the stat was incorrect.

AJ looked great tonight...believe he had 18 pts, and several assists. Very aggressive.

So Colonels win last 2 games vs Beechies by 36 and 42. Ouch

Jake Walter was 10/10.

Nice game by CJ Brannen for the Tigers.

The Colonels, ranked second in the final Associated Press poll and third in the Litkenhous computer ratings, officially punched their ticket to next week’s Ninth Region tournament with the win over the scrappy Tigers.

COVINGTON CATHOLIC (27-4): Fredrick 9 0 21, Disken 1 1 3, Deere 1 0 2, Fleek 1 0 2, Davin 0 1 1, A. Mayer 8 1 18, Ruthsatz 1 1 4, M. Mayer 2 4 8, N. Thelen 1 0 2, Green 1 0 2, Walter 10 1 21. Totals 35 9 85

Halftime, C 39-23. 3-pointers: B 5 (Schilling 2, Brannen 2, Du. Baugh), C 5 (Fredrick 3, Ruthsatz, A. Mayer).

Return of the Mayer boys Cov Cath playing well. Looks like their on the way to a state run. IMO healthy AJ catapults the program. They can be scary good when they click!
