Should be interesting if Bellevue beats Dayton as there would be three teams with 2 district wins. All three (Bellevue, Dayton, Ludlow) beat Bracken and they all beat one of the others once. Would come down to a tiebreaker. Anyone know who would win the tiebreaker?

I would think Dayton would be in good shape with wins over Lloyd, Grant, Owen.

Things are looking good for a Dayton postseason trip! The Devils haven't been since 2002 and haven't won a game since beating Bath County and Bellevue on their way to the regional final in 1998.

That is not correct... Dayton wrapped up the 4th spot tonight with the win over Ludlow. Next weeks game with Bellevue means nothing except for bragging rights...

First of all congrats to Dayton on the win and making the playoffs. Secondly the injuries for Ludlow was just to much to overcome for them in this big game. Ludlow had 3 starters out on defense out to start the game, and then 2 more got hurt early in the 1st quarter. Then on offense they were without Kyle York who is out of the year with some neck injury, and then the guy who was the number 2 receiver got hurt in the 1st quarter today. So Ludlow had alot of bad luck with injuries, but still play hard. Buddy Lunsford of Ludlow stepped up for Ludlow with all these injuries and had I would say over 10 catches easy and over a 100 yards receiving. Jarrett Rouse of Ludlow had alot of nice throws. But in the end all the injuries to many starters were to much to overcome for Ludlow against a good Dayton team.

 

So once again congrats to Dayton on the win and good luck in the playoffs. I know I really have liked the way their coach has turned the reputation of that program around. I know I like them better now than Bellevue, and Holy Cross, and I use to hate Dayton more than anyone. So good luck Dayton, and hopefully you can shock some people in the playoffs...

Buddy Lunsford ended up catching a school tying record of 14 catches in 1 game,tying Donald Weaver who also had 14 catches in a game in 1999. Buddy ended up with 14 catches for 142yds and a td plus he also caught the 2pt pass. Jarrod Rouse ended up 17-33 for 175 yds and 1 td with no ints. And as future coach stated injuries really hurt especially when the starting center goes down with a season ending knee injury. though the injuries hurt hats off to dayton they just played a pretty good ball game theqb from Dayton hurts all night he carried the ball 20 times for 201 yds and 3 tds.
