I just got back from the ballgame.Congrats to the Golden Eagles on the win. Coach Matney definitely had his boys ready to play. There was no doubt who the better team was. Johnson Central ran all over the Tomcats tonight. I don't want to take anything away from Ron Blume, and the great back he was, but I would take Shawn Grim over him any day of the week, and twice on Fridays. He impressed the heck out of me tonight. He reminded me a lot of former Ashland great Chris Hutt. While Grim isn't as big as Hutt was, he still is the same type of runner. He just bounces of tackles, shedding would be tackler with his arms, and then just out runs everbody. I also got a big kick out of the man who was in charge of the music. He definitely has his act together, and is very clever with his choice of music. It was very entertaining. Congrats once again to the Golden Eagles.

Wow. I look for JC to make some serious noise in the AAA play-offs. Love to see an Eastern Kentucky team make it to the carpet again.

This was another complete domination Game by JC. That weak schedule sure hurt them tonight.:thumb:

But Grimm did what he wanted and the JC D held Ashland to like 160 total yard or something like that.

Great game Eagles:dancingpa

Looks as if their weak schedule continued tonight. They never will get that respect.

Cody Conley was the defensive player of the game. He was all over the place tonight. Micheal Tackett had some hits that left Ashland breathless... seriously.

Where are all the Ashland people? As usual they are making up excuses!

Congratulations to Johnson Central.

I didn't see this year's game, but I saw enough of Grimm last year to know that he's the real deal.

The man in charge of the music is Todd Conley. He does an excellent job.

Frances and I are the only Ashland fans I have seen post. What excuses have we made?

What in the world are you talking about? Did someone delete some posts that I didn't get to read?

Haven't heard any excuses yet. Actually, the Ashland fans that have posted have just congratulated JC. Ashland is a good team...just faced a better one tonight.

One question...does anyone know what the Ashland players yelled toward the JC players during their stretches? Just wondering.

Yes, Todd does a fantastic job tonight. I heard alot of Ashland fans saying some things... to me that is mission accomplished.

Yes, Ashland has been doing this for years. We did it when I played. They yell, depending on whom they are playing of course.
