Johnson Central 35 Ashland 7

The score looks like a "men vs boys" type of game. How did Thomas do? Tomcats may have their hands full with the Lions next week.

Congrats to the Eagles on a huge win!

I just want to say that Shawn Grimm is a "Machine"!!!

The score was really not indicative of how much Johnson Central dominated this game. It could have easily been a 5 touchdown margin if not for back-to-back penalties on JC inside the Tomcats' 5 yard line late in the third period.

This was definitely a statement game for the Golden Eagles.

Thomas didn't show up. Grimm made no bones about who the better back was.

Ouch!!! I would say a 35 to 7 margin is domination. Was it all Grimm between the tackles?

From the kick off to final buzzer... JC dominated this game. This game was kind of boring (I hate to use that word.) But a win is a win... JC is 9-0.

I was glad to hear the big air horn!

I really thought Ashland played OK tonight . They had a good defensive line but once Grimm got through the line they could not tackle him. The score should have been 42-0. Jc had a touchdown by Grimm called back for blocking in the back five yards behind the play. Ashland's score was on a fourth and long pass that was tipped by a JC defender.

Congratulations to Johnson Central on a great win. Excellent football team that will make some noise in the playoffs!! Tough loss for the Ashland kids. Good luck to both teams the rest of the way.

He might have been very close to negative yards on the night. He was downed several times deep inside the line of scrimmage.

Several are probable on suicide watch. You know who they are.

All I know is my old buddy Dickie wouldn't even speak to me after the game.

He had to get back to Putnam...he was on hoot-owl shift litter detail.

CONGRATS TO THE EAGLES.

You would have thought that since he is an experienced sanitation professional he would have hung around long enough to give us novices a pointer or two.:irked:

Great all around game by the Eagles tonight. They played with a ton of emotion and dominated this game from the start. I said early in the week on the Best Running Back in Class 3A Region 4 thread that I thought the JC defense could hold Thomas to low yardage and have alot of TFL and what did they do, just prove me right. The O-line of Ashland looks to catch and not fire out and the defensive front of JC exploited that tonight. Grimm was a man among boys tonight and clearly showed that he was the best of the two backs tonight. 288 yds and 4TD's against what many said was a strong defensive is a great night. The O-line of JC dominated the defense of Ashland and made many crucial down field blocks that helped to spring Grimm for his long runs. Maybe this lays to rest the weak schedule and how JC would do against a good team, cause they showed you tonight they are a good football team. Now on to Mason County boys.:thumb:
