December 26, 20178 yr Author Here is a look at the brutally cold air that may be heading into Kentucky to start the New Year. On New Year's day, it looks that we will see morning temps below zero for most of Kentucky with windchills being in the double-digit below zero range. Going down through Cumberland Gap and then through the Hillsville, VA area is not a good thing in bad road conditions.

The models are still going back and forth on the snow so I'm not ready to post any predictions on the snow as of yet.
