Frankfort 46 Carroll Co. 16

Not Possible. I don't care who brought it up. All I know is that this is what somebody was crying about. It didn't happen. I know this to be true. This isn't "The Longest Yard". You act like you speak from experience.

I do speak from experience. Experience in having played CC several times.

You are deceiving yourself if you think that it is not possible.

I have no clue on this game but...Seems like FHS is complaining about dirty play, last year they accused Franklin County of being dirty? I think their fans enjoy the drama.

Just as an FYI - I am NOT a Frankfort fan.

Sorry Frankfort staff cares about their players...

Don't remember complainig about FC being dirty, holding isn't being dirty.Like I said I wasn't there Friday, but more than one coach has said someone attempted to kick Robinson in the head while he was down. There is no room in the game for that type of conduct. I would hope everyone would agree on that.

I agree no room for kicking etc....and I hope no one has thumbtacks in their gloves. Next thing you know they will be running down the feild like that guy on the Last Boy Scout with a .9 mm.

Does seem like there is always some kind of ordeal with FHS though. Being in their stands for middle school games and Varsity games is entertainment like I have never seen. Their fans are always mad at someone.

Just to clear a few things up since it appears that I started this firestorm.

1. I saw an assistant coach get into a verbal confrontation with a carroll county player after FHS scored and prior to a 2 point conversion. Understandably so, the player was very frustrated and should not have engaged the coach.

2. The calls I was speaking about were illegal shifts, pass interferance and whether or not a pass was completed or not.

For the record, I do not believe that CC had any personal fouls or unsportsmanlike conducts called by the officials. As I was not personally out on the field playing, I do not know what was missed or should have been called. I never had any intention of saying that a coach cannot or should not be out there to protect his players.

As for the accusations of tacks and kicking, hopefully this forum will inform the coaching staff a check needs to put into place for these things specifically. CC players reading this, please know this is not the way to win or compete. Not saying that it was done, but let's put ourselves in a light to win and lose with class.

Please let this put an end to the "dirty" accusations and such and let both teams focus on their next opponent.

I wasn't going to get involved in this, but since thamoss seams to be an expert and brought all this stuff up I can't help myself. As for the game two years ago I'm sure you're speaking of the one where the Carroll County fans chased the reffs to the lockerroom after Frankfort had come back and won. The officials in that game finally started taking control of it after they allowed dirty play for over 3 quarters. I personally saw one Carroll player throw punches on 3 seperate occassions and the reffs finally started calling the dirty play which did help with the Frankfort comeback. Also the police were called to diffuse the situation.I wasn't at the game Friday because I was scouting, but I was told the next morning that several of our players had complained about being stabbed with something. THAMOSS is the first one to tell us what they were being stabbed with, thanks becuase we didn't know what it was. I know that year in and year out Carroll is probably the dirtiest team we play. As for Danville being a class act I agree 100%, but when you're always ranked in the top 5 you tend to get the better officating crews.

AWESOME post...:thumb: :thumb: :thumb: That game was absolutley ridiculous until the refs actually started doing their jobs...Dirty hits, VERY vulgur and discriminitory language directed at the Frankfort players, and just down right unsportsmanlike football was being played by Carrol County. That was the worst game I was ever a part of...Then as pigman mentioned, you had Carrol County fans threating and chasing the officiating crew into the locker rooms after the game...Now who's classy? Before you people criticize the Frankfort coaching staff for "not looking ahead to Danville," maybe you should worry about what YOUR players are doing on the field...

Just like FC complained about a call they thought was bad early in the 2003 game, that they all claimed cost them the game???

While we are informing the coaching staff and players on class, you might add not using racial slurs during the game, not using profanity during the "good game" line after the game (particularly toward female managers), not rubbing mud up and down the walls near the visiting locker room that they change in and not tearing things off doors near their locker room.

The main thing to come out of this is to have class when playing the game. Win or lose you must have class for the opponent. If a team does play dirty, you must not retaliate, if you do retaliate that means you are also playing dirty. Every team is after one thing in a game and that is a W. IMO if you play dirty to get a W you really have not won anything at all you ahve lost class for yourself, team, and program all around. Danville has proven this every game they play, thats why they have so many championships. They go out on the field to get a W, not hurt an opponent or argue with coaches, they play football. Every team should go out on the field to play football and play the game like it was meant to be played.

So the play near the end of the game where Frankfort's Robinson was KICKED in the chin by a member of the Carroll team should be just over looked and the Frankfort coaching staff should not have worried about one of their players getting hurt. I guess they should have been focusing on Danville during the Carroll game and not worrying about Carroll. That may be the dumbest comment I have seen in a while. During a game the staff should only be focusing on that particular team and not the upcoming opponents. I would be angry with the Frankfort staff if I had a son playing and the staff wasn't trying to take care of my boy.

Just out of curiosity why was Robinson in near the end of the game--was it not in hand?

Now let's all sit in a circle, hold hands and sing "Koom-Bye-Ya"......

Koom-Bye-Ya My Lord, Koom-Bye-Ya.........:bunny:

I think one reason Robinson was in the game because 3 backs where injured.

Plus the varsity players had only played 4 quarters of football over the last 4 weeks going into the Carroll game.
