December 7, 20178 yr It seems like Alabama has a coordinator get hired about every year before the playoffs and is an extra distraction. I guess that happens when you are a top tier program. This is the first year of the early signing period and it creates a much different environment than years past.

Will be interesting to see what he does here. Again Smart had over a month after the NC to salvage a recruiting class. He could realistically do that and finish the job with Bama. Pruitt has basically 13 days to do that now with the early signing period on Dec 20.

December 7, 20178 yr How to solve any SEC coaching crisis: Hire random Alabama assistant. In this case it quiets the noise and salvages a train wreck. Say Bama and SEC fans automatically think Saban and now Kirby Smart. I don't know if this will pan out so well for Tennessee though.
