This year's Covington Catholic team is one of the best I have ever seen in Northern Kentucky. They have great talent and great coaching. I am a huge believer in AJ Mayer at quarterback. I also believe calpreps is as good as it gets in their rankings. However, I would make Trinity a two-touchdown favorite if these two were to play each other.

I am pretty sure that T has played CovCath in the last 3-4 season in JV. Although its not a great indicator it can give you idea of the results this game might lead to. Anyone have those scores?

I'm not sure if the JV teams had ever play prior to 2015, but here are the results:

2015 - Trinity 42 Covington Catholic 0 (JV)

2016 - Trinity 7 Covington Catholic 0 (JV)

2017 - Trinity 21 Covington Catholic 7 (JV)

A big concern that I would have is watching CovCath establish the run in the beginning of the game. They aren't going to race out to 14 pt leads on Trinity or X. Could they consistently run the ball enough to win time of possession and field position when needed against those 2? The 1st quarters v South Warren and Madison Southern didn't make me feel confident.

They would have the best shot of any school in Kentucky at beating Trinity. They would definitely score some points

I am not convinced Cov Cath would beat St. X. At least not the one at the end of the year.
