That's what you got from my post? Ok...

I didn't say that's what I got from your post, I'm saying that's the reality of it.

Once again, the only right way to do this is a 16 team playoff. Nobody has an argument on a conference champion being left out. It's the ONLY way to find out what team really is the best.

What does an 0-12 team do to help your SOS? That's how they would look at it. They won't schedule them.
What?!? Alabama scheduled Mercer this year. P5 schools schedule tons of the really bad G5 schools. They wouldn't have scheduled UCF to enhance their schedule they would have scheduled them to have an easy win.

Come on. So putting OSU is all about ratings? Gotcha.

Somebody will play you. The games are scheduled years in advance. Like UCF had their OOC schedule set this year when they went 0-12. Make it a habit to have a big name OOC on the schedule every year.

I know back before Louisville was in the ACC they tried to do this. The “big” schools pay buyouts to avoid playing.

I don’t disagree at all but you know as well as I do that the last thing that anyone connected with the P5 conferences want is an “outsider” to actually get a shot and prove they belong.

The teams they feel are nonthreatening, sure. I get UCF was bad for quite a while. Why didn't Bama or the Buckeyes schedule USF over the last several years including this year? USF has been ranked on and off lately. If UCF has two more years like this one, let's see if Alabama or OSU schedules them. I'm telling you they won't.

You're ignoring the fact that this "playoff" is only for the P5 schools. It should be called what it is, the Power 5 Invitational. This is the real issue.

Absolutely! 100 percent correct!

You all are focusing on the Iowa loss and ignoring that Alabama hasn’t beaten anybody... You can’t have it both ways. If you take into account the Iowa loss, as you should, you also take into account that Bama hasn’t beaten anyone, AND they aren’t a conference champion.

OSU’s quality wins vs Alabama’s trump the fact that Bama has one less loss, IMO.

Holy Toledo, a non OSU fan with a really strong a valid argument. Very well said.

Call around. Somebody is looking for a game. Promise.

Did USF ask?

Come on. So putting OSU is all about ratings? Gotcha.

Yep. They have two horrific losses. If they get in, yep, that's why IMO. Same with Bama. Neither deserve the shot.

Haha I promise you the P5 conferences aren't worried about a G5 school proving they belong, because they don't.

Again... no OSU fan will complain on this board is we don’t get in because we didn’t completely take care of business. Sure beating Wisky, Penn State, Michigan St and Michigan should count for something but losing to Iowa is bad. If we get in, great... I guess? If we’re out, we’re out.
