Jim Nabors has died

I’ve been watching a lot of the Andy Griffin Show on Netflix lately. They had some memorable characters during their run and Gomer was one of their best.

Agree. Just a tremendous character. Loved him on Gomer Pyle U.S.M. C. as well.

Hope Goober's not too upset. Gomer was in 2 great shows.

So many great episodes he was involved in with the Andy Griffith Show. We were just searching Spotify last night looking for a version of Santa Lucia by him (couldn't find one).

Every night growing up my dad and I would watch the Andy Griffith show on TV Land. Gomer was always my favorite character. I was fortunate enough to meet Nabors at A Mayberry In The Midwest show back in the early 2000's. Couldn't have been a nicer guy. RIP.

Maybe this will tide you over. Amazing voice.

"Santa Lucia" - Jim Nabors (Gomer Pyle) in "The Song Festers" episode of The Andy Griffith Show.

When he sang “from the halls of montezuma” with the bucket on his head, I still laugh. Last episode of his from Andy and served as a lead in to Gomer. If you watch the actors next to him, they can’t hide their laughter.

RIP. As some have said, not many of this show are left and it’s sad.
