h.s.sportsrbest
Today's Enquirer Article Really, do people outside of Louisville know how ridiculous this whole thing has become to everyone ouside of the Watterson Expressway?
letabrotherspeak
I got a chuckle out it. I thought I was the only one that thought this a few weeks back when I posted about it. Then this beaut. Dantonio thinks it is orchestrated. Will they take it out on Dantonio for talking about it being orchestrated? "Don't stomp the Bird, Dont' stomp the Brid, Can't Stomp the Bird"...say it together to the Fat Boy Slim tune.
NineOh
It's absolutely ridiculous that we have to deal with this every time UofL has a home game. That logo is no different than any other 50 yard line in the nation where teams get pumped up before a game. UC won't "do the unthinkable" and "stomp the bird". Nor do I think they had any intention of doing it in '04. What will put this to rest is a nice pregame stomping of the bird by WVU followed by a Mountaineer victory. UofL doesn't beat teams simply because they stomped the bird. They beat them because they're a better football team. Go Bearcats...did I just say that? 02Ram54
Uh, as someone who was there, Dantonio is full of it. Cincy didn't innocently walk across the 50 yard line and fall into some trap. They were doing the STOMP. And don't tell me they were unaware of it... they weren't the first team to do it that year.

Not to mention, it is a pretty common occurrence on BGP to post links to articles which are apropos yet may not be read by many of our posters. Quite aware you didn't write it, but if you guys are as fed up of us talking about as you seem to be, posting a link that WILL get us talking about it is a bit foolish, IMO.
