November 20, 20178 yr Author Disappointing loss as NKU gave this one away. Held a 13 point lead with 9 minutes left. Lamb is the real deal for UVM. Bell-Hayes is a nice player, too. This was a good experience for NKU. The top 4 in this tournament were solid mid-majors and they proved that they are at the top of the mid-major field.

Vermont shot 50% from 3. NKU didn't rebound. NKU didn't make any open shots late. Vermont ended the game on an 18-3 run.
November 20, 20178 yr Vermont shot 50% from 3. I was surprised that Vermont only shot 11 three's (making 5 of them). They have a lot of good shooters and typically take more than that from the perimeter. Heck, they took 13 against UK...in the 1st half!

They got open looks but couldn't hit. Holland missed a lay-up on a 2-on-1 break. Gave up a couple offensive rebounds to Lamb and couple uncontested drives to Bell-Haynes.
