You couldn't be more wrong. If OSU makes it, it will be because of the incompetence of the teams ahead of them and OSU taking care of their business. OSU would not deserve a playoff spot, but they will get a playoff spot because they don't deserve it a little bit less than the other teams around them. Don't play the, "committee is clearing a path Card" if they were clearing a path they would have ND ahead of them. The committee isn't clearing a path, this season of no great teams is doing it for them. Now back to Clemson, they are getting a huge benefit of the doubt.

Yes they are clearing a path for them. The teams in front of them all almost all play each other. So unless as we said Bama loses. All osu has to do is win out. If Bama wins out Auburn will be out, and Georgia out. Georgia would have two losses them and equal quality wins as osu, but losses to better teams. Yet they would put a two lost osu team over them before they put 2 sec teams in especially one with 2 losses. Clemson and Miami are going to knock one or the other out. The committee would put a 2 lost osu over a 1 lost Miami because Miami doesn't have many top wins. Or say Miami beats Clemson. Clemson would have 2 losses just like osu. Clemson would have more better wins, and zero blowout losses. Yet they would put osu in over a 2 lost Cemson before they put 2 acc teams in.

So yes the committee has cleared a pretty clear path for osu by where they have osu currently. The only thing that could stop them is Bama losing. Osu with their 2 blow out losses would not deserve to be in over some of these other 2 loss teams but yet the way they have it set up it will happen. So yes that is showing love for osu once again.

How does that equate to clearing a path? The committee has no choice but to put OSU where they are. Makes no sense. The path is there because teams in front of OSU lost last week.

Alabama is the best team in college football and yet they almost lost at Mississippi State, which would be in the mix without their inexplicable early losses. Alabama could very well lose at Auburn.

Clemson could very well lose at South Carolina. They will have their hands full with Miami.

Wisconsin could lose to Michigan. Michigan could beat Ohio State.

What if Auburn wins out? What if Georgia wins out? Notre Dame could win out. What if Oklahoma wins out?

There's so many different things that could happen. It's going to be fun to watch it all play out.

It's also very simple the key is to get the 4 best teams correct? A 2 loss OSU would not deserve to be in over a 2 loss Clemson, a 1 lost Miami, a 2 loss Notre Dame, a 2 loss USC, or shoot even over a 1 loss Wisconsin. Even if Osu beats them and wins the big 10. As we seen last year they put a 1 lost osu over a 2 loss Penn State who won the big 10 and beat osu. So yes that would be showing love for osu. Especially if it's a close game Wisconsin loses to osu. However you know as well as I do, they would put osu in. Doesn't mean they are more deserving. Why is it osu basically jumped 5 spots. While usc who also has 2 losses stayed the same. While usc resume is similar without a horrible blow out loss to a 4 loss team.

Osu has no business basically now once again controlling their fate, but the path the committee has now made has created that. Which is why it's funny hearing you complain about Clemson, yet don't see the love the the committee shows osu each year including right now. If this was any other team besides osu, you would see what I'm talking about. No team who gets blown out at home and then also blown out on the road to a 4 loss team should be in the conversation still when their may be other 2 loss teams who were more consistent and didn't have 2 horrible days of blow out losses.

Very true it will be fun. However I don't think the osu Michigan game will be close. Michigan is not that good of a team this year and has zero offense.

While I agree. Iowa made OSU look like a high school team. Never know what will happen in a rivalry game. I'm just saying...it could happen. Not predicting it or anything.

Couldn't get past the first sentence. The committee puts out their rubric before the season.

Ok good deal. So a 1 loss Wisconsin even if that one loss comes in the big 10 championship to osu. Still should be in the playoff over a 2 loss osu team who wins the big 10. Because since they followed the rubric last year it put osu in. Then that means Wisconsin should be in, since it's following the rubric and precedent it set. Unless the committee continues to show love for osu as they usually do...

Your OOC schedule matters. It's in their rubric. Conference championships matter. It's in their rubric. Top 25 wins matter. It's in their rubric. If Ohio State had played Toledo instead of going to Oklahoma last year they don't get in. It's that simple. We've already had this conversation.

Playing the "harder side" of the Conference also matters (in SOS). Wisky controls its OOC schedule, so shame on them if they are on the outside looking in with 1 loss. UGa would've been in the same situation if they had beaten Auburn and then lost to Bama in the SEC Champ. UGa would have at least had @ND on their OOC schedule to make the argument.
