Highlands vs. Grant County - Predictions

...didn't Grant County defeat Highlands in 2004?
No. But this thread is about this year's game; and that's where it needs to stay.

All due respect intended. But, nobody has played, as the favorite, in a game this one sided on paper in football and lost.

I liked what you said about Grant. But, sometimes games are just going to be lopsided. This is one of those times.

I do know that my senior year, we went undefeated into Campbell County (which may not have had a winning record) for the last reg. season game of the year. People talked about how badly we were going to beat them. They upset us. We went on to win state (so we must have had a pretty good team). We had given up like 21 points the entire season up until then and they scored 20 in that game. And I don't think Campbell County even made it into the playoffs. If it wasn't the one sided game on paper that the Highlands-Grant Co. game is, it wasn't off by much. We're dealing with young kids, in a game with a funny shaped ball that can bounce in any direction. Anything can happen. Do I expect Grant to win? Of course not. But if the Birds look past Grant to S. Oldham, anything could happen. Grant is a better team this year from what I have seen. They throw the ball well. If we blow assignments, tackle poorly and let Grant believe they can win, it may be much closer than some think. I don't think that will happen, but it could. LN

I can see where you're concerned about Grant, but I think Dale will keep them focused.

If I were going to worry about something, I'd be more worried about next week and the 'Birds looking past SO towards a matchup with CCH.

Not to ruffle any feathers but didn't Grant County defeat Highlands in 2004?

Haha, not exactly...

LN...will Grant "water down" the field !!! Thanks for another 30 yr. memory !!! (LOL)

I'm glad that somebody realized that it was just a good way to get laugh on Friday the 13th. My prediction is GC 7 Highlands 64.
