He has already confessed to drinking and smoking marijuana according to fox news (Who for the longest time were pronouncing his name wrong).

I know the guy a little bit and know the family well. Great family. He was driving a Honda pilot, but not sure if he had a family of his own? He has hired a local attorney Stacey Graus. Not sure if Stacey has ever defended a murder case. This is horrible for both families (I know the Pollott's as well). Both have to live with the tragedy the rest of their lives. So sad when a foolish mistake costs lives, especially those of young kids.

What can you tell us about Gries? What kind of guy is he? Is this something completely out of line with his known character? Is he related to the Gries family from Ft. Mitchell?

More importantly, what can you tell us about the family who was killed? So incredibly tragic.

I know 2 of the brothers. Sorry but this one I did not know. Originally from the Fort. The family are very good people. Can’t comment on this particular one that was going 94, passing a Car on that road. As for the family that lost 5 loved ones. I know they are heartbroken and would love to know why it happened, they have a very strong faith and I hope it pulls them though this. I pray for both families to get thru this horrible situation.

Ok somebody explain to me why tax dollars had to be spent to transport this guy from the hospital to the court, and put 4-5 officers around him in the courtroom for his hearing? Ever heard of video conferencing? Seriously

He may have been in route to his new home further south?

How does this guy put in a not guilty plea?

Eye witness(crossed double yellow line)

Computer data(93 miles an hour at impact)

Confession(drinking and smoking pot)

This should be a slam dunk for the prosecution as long as the police did their jobs properly.

Not to divert, but if he was "real drunk", I can't believe he got from Hickory Sticks to the AA. I don't drink a drop and have nearly wrecked 1,287 times between that Golf Course and the AA.

Such a shame, and those poor children that had their life ripped from them at such a young age, such an awful situation.

No kidding, I'm always amazing there aren't a ton of wrecks on that road.

It's not like this guy was sitting at the "bar" of hickory sticks pounding mixed drinks. My guess is his group bought a few buckets of beer and went about their round. I'm not sure how you can prove any negligence on Hickory sticks part. They have no idea how many beers each person is drinking and he might have never went back in the clubhouse. I guess we will find out at some point.

Either wa, what an awful story and tragedy.

There has been a ton of wrecks on that road the speed limit is 55mph and has been for the past 30 years. When I was a teenager we used to fly up and down that road I couldn't imagine doing 90 now considering how busy that road is.

I think he was referring to the road to and from Hickory Sticks. If you can get up to 55 on that road and maintain it, you should be in Formula 1

Correct, if you make it alive. :scared:

He may be able to argue his blood alcohol level at the time of the accident. His blood was likely actually tested an hour after the crash. If he drank a beer right before he got into the car his BAC might have been rising, so it may have been higher in the hospital than it was at the time of the crash. Conversely, it also could have been higher, if he had been drinking on the course and stopped and ate, which means he could have been drunker at the time of the accident and his BAC was on the way down. MJ is very difficult to quantify in this equation.

Not saying it matters to anybody except his attorney. It might factor into his sentence. Drunk or sober, passing a car at 90 mph in a no passing lane on a dangerous stretch of road is inexcusable. Saw the family car on TV. Horrific! To think they were all properly seat belted in not knowing what as coming is unbelievably tragic.

Hope the golf course isn’t implicated in this.

That dude should be punished so bad.

If he killed him self that still isn’t good enough.

Literally everyone pleads not guilty at first. Just part of the system.
