CincySportsFan
I don't put last night's game above the 1991 or 2011 game. They were both elimination games. And, it's funny because of the 7 games in the 2001 WS, I obviously think of the Luis Gonzales - Mariano Rivera matchup in the finale...not games 4 and 5, like the writer does. (Must be a Yankees fan. :lol2: )

tcjkbt
Hard to beat 1960 and Bill Mazeroski's 7th game walk-off HR as the Pirates beat the big, bad Yankees.

Voice of Reason
It'd have to go in the top 10, I'd imagine. A lot of people will probably say last year's game 7 was the pinnacle of WS games, since it was a winner-take-all scenario. A few others that come to my mind... Game 6 between the Reds/Red Sox with Fisk's HR Finale between Twins/Braves in which Morris pitches shutout Blue Jays beat Phillies with Carter's walkoff homer Gibson pinch-hit HR off Eck in Dodgers/A's Diamondbacks beat the Yankees and Rivera in game 7 Good list. mcpapa
You could sorta see this one coming. When they said that it had taken Keuchel 20 pitches to record one out, I started doing some math and coming up with astronomical pitch count numbers.
