I went to the game tonight with the attitude that I would have to get the BC fans up on their feet and get their voices workiing to show the team we were behind them no matter what the outcome. As it turned out, the players wanted to make their own statement tonight and stole my thunder. I even saw a little positive fire from several members of the coaching staff. Great job Rebels!

I don't have a dog in this fight but sometimes fake punts are automatic calls according to how the defense lines up. If not that then maybe they were trying to get a running clock in the 2nd half in order to just let the JVs play. A few weeks back Somerset couldn't quite get ahead by the required score and ended up having to take a knee on an extra-point in order to keep their score under 70 against Cumberland. That running clock in the 2nd half makes things a lot easier as far as subs and stuff go.

Thats all I needed to know.

I didn't realize that possibility. THANKS!!!

Congratulations BC!!! Keep it up the rest of the season.

:walk: Way to go Rebels. Amazing what a little discipline can do for those talented young men. Great job coaches for sticking with your plan despite the negative comments you faced and great job players for stepping up to the plate!

What I saw last night was a TEAM playing together that I hadn't seen for a couple of games. It was fun being a fan again. Whether my congrats go to the players, the coaches, the fans, or a combination of it all, my hat is off to you for making it fun again last. Pour it on Rebs.;)

I know that the vicotries have been few and far between for the Rebels this year but why why why why why do you go for a fake punt when you're up 36-0 in the second quarter?

Now before anyone fires back at me, I've not said anything about running the score up. I just think it's weird to have a designed fake punt when you're up on a team by that score....the worst part of it was that Boyle County scored on the play as well.

I am suprised that they didnt go for an onside kick.

I was waiting for you to post that :sssh:

 Cry me a river, build me a bridge, and get over it. We may need that play later this season, when the game is on the line. What better time to see if you can execute it......

Wow weasel91 where's the Love? Nothing is cured, but glad your interested in our problems here in Title Town.

No disrespect intended Rebel, just stating that a nice victory can help to start healing some wounds that have recently come to light in Title Town.

BTW- FT. Thomas will always be Title Town to me.......But thats for another thread:thumb:

Amazing what being on the winning side of a win what would do. I know that you are a true fan, but I wonder if the person looking at Josh Miller on the sidelines last week and feeling so sorry, felt that way as he scored on a helpless and undermanned Pulaski team on a fake punt up 4-5 touchdowns. Probably not they only put that on his hi -lite video. Great catch:walk:

Amazing what bringing a 1-5 team into town with its only win against Taylor Co. can do. Im sure the coaches and the players have their goals set alot higher than this game. Its nice to see them win, but in all honesty this game didnt really show us anything new about the team besides the fact that they are better than a 2-5 record (strength of schedule).

I respect your posts statman but to be honest I would ask the same of why Larkey kept going for 2 when the issue was settled with Harrison County? (Again I'm not saying Rock was running up the score.)

A few years ago Boyle took a lot of heat for an onside kick in a blowout over Lincoln. That same year they ran it against Hoptown in the semi-finals when they were clinging to a 7 point lead. It worked and the Rebels all but ran out the clock. That game "practice" (IMHO) was a way to get ready to execute when it was needed the most. The took a lot of heat but it worked for their first AAA title! :thumb:

That must have been one heckuva meeting.

the meeting with the Superintendent???... you gotta be kidding me!!! You think that had anything to do with Friday's win??? Now you are funny!!!

I guess all the upperclassmen got to play tonight... oh yeh, and Boyle won... so, where are all the 'concerned fans' this week???

You go Coach Pardue... stick to your guns!!:thumb:

The meeting had nothing to do with the win that's true. And I'm sure all the concerned fans (like myself) aren't at ease at all. I'm still very concerned and only more games (playoff games) and time with ease my concern.
