Question is WILL a ky team score on them. Everyone is saying covcath but they dont play.

I predicted before the season no team in Kentucky will score on Trinity's starting defense. As the season has played out it looks like CovCath would have stood the best chance because running teams won't score but passing teams can. The question is could CovCath's O Line protect Mayer from Trinity's pass rush all night?

That's a nice bit of prognostication, FB. And at this point it's looking more and more like you'll be right.

 

As for the question about Cov Cath's O-line protecting Mayer all night (and I don't really want to sidetrack this thread about Trinity's starting defense) I think given the fact that there are zero seniors on Cov Cath's O-line, and the fact that Mayer has been hurried and/or sacked numerous times thus far in the season would make the obvious answer to that be 'no...not all night'. You did make me think of an interesting question for a thread though: Who has the best offensive line in each division?

Yes, for sure, some team (or teams) will score points in the post-season against Trinity's 1st Team defense. Stuff happens. Weather can be dicey. They aren't going to post all shutouts in the playoffs.

 

They are, however, going to win a 6A State Championship, and I expect that is all they really care about.

I don't think Trinity will give up another point til the 3rd round of playoffs. Unless that's against SK, then 4th round.

Only CovCath would be able to out of NKY.

Like that commercial says.....its the same as Zero. I'll go with Tim Couch's senior year Leslie Co team. Again, the same as Zero. You'll only score if they don't mind it.
