October 3, 200619 yr Oh, I thought you meant last year for the Reds since their "Dunn"... No answer???
October 3, 200619 yr I wonder what Casey would say if asked by the big shots in Detroit about Dunn... Well he's tall and he swings for the fences...he strikes out a lot...and you can't hide him in left field because the errors still find him.
October 3, 200619 yr Well he's tall and he swings for the fences...he strikes out a lot...and you can't hide him in left field because the errors still find him. But you can hide him at DH, and they need power. Add in a surplus of young pitching, and there you go...
October 3, 200619 yr But you can hide him at DH, and they need power. Add in a surplus of young pitching, and there you go... What stud #1 pitcher do you think the Tigers would be willing to give up for Dunn?
October 3, 200619 yr What stud #1 pitcher do you think the Tigers would be willing to give up for Dunn? You're looking at Bonderman who is 45-53 with a 4.72 ERA in his career or Verlander who is 17-11 3.83 ERA in his career.
October 3, 200619 yr What stud #1 pitcher do you think the Tigers would be willing to give up for Dunn? It would have to be Bonderman. And I would love the move...
October 3, 200619 yr It would have to be Bonderman. And I would love the move... Heck so would I, but I can't see the Tigers trading him for Dunn.
October 3, 200619 yr Heck so would I, but I can't see the Tigers trading him for Dunn. That's why I was curious as to what Casey would have to say. They need O in a BAD way...
October 3, 200619 yr That's why I was curious as to what Casey would have to say... Will Casey even be there to ask?
October 3, 200619 yr I think a lot of people on here are overlooking one critical element to trading Dunn.....He won't bring in a legit #1 in return....I do think he's traded this season though. I see the Reds making a run at Jason Schmidt, however I see it highly unlikely they do many moves.....I think next season will be a drop-off from this season.
October 3, 200619 yr Not enough stock is taken in this stat. And sometimes too much is put into it...
