October 3, 200619 yr One more year and more than 300 more games...come on... Now wait, if you're talking Dunn for an ace pitcher, that's one thing. You never mentioned pitching...Dunn for Kearns is a joke... I think that Dunn should be traded for a pitcher, I was just comparing stats after it was said that Kearns is a very average player.
October 3, 200619 yr Dunn has one extra year but twice the K's and 20 points less in a batting average. Dunn is a liabilty and as long as the Reds pitching is as bad as it is a .245 hitter ain't gonna make much of a difference. Yeah he'll hit 40 hr, but he will also K about 180 times. Trade Dunn for a good pitcher and don't get hosed like ya did on the Lopez and Kearns deal! Take a close look at the K/AB rate...
October 3, 200619 yr You got it! :dancingpa But it's not by much, and Dunn leads the world in Ks. Austin is an average hitter, and solid RF. He's a dime a dozen. Plain and simple...
October 3, 200619 yr 135 Ks for Kearns the magnificent this year. What a contact hitter. And 7 Es in the OF is OK but 12 is garbage? Double standard much???
October 3, 200619 yr About half the errors, 60 less strikouts, 30 points higher batting average...like I said, if you want to see homeruns come to batting practice, if you want to win games trade the strikeout king for a pitcher.
October 3, 200619 yr I read in one of the Cincinnati papers today that there is speculation to Dunn may have played his last game as a Red yesterday. If they do happen to trade him, I certainly hope it is only for a stud #1 pitcher. I could live with a rotation looking something like this next year. Stud #1 Harang Arroyo Milton Bailey

You said to trade him for Kearns. And that's more than a bad joke. You watched Austin grow up playing in Lex if I had to guess. Stop being a homer, and wake up. Did Austin not hit .240 last year???

October 3, 200619 yr .264 Last year. See 2005. .240 in just under 400 ABs. He also K'd more than 25% of the time. Stellar. Do I get to use Dunn circa 2004 when he hit .266 in his first full season???
October 3, 200619 yr If they do trade Dunn for another SP, who are we looking at in the outfield next year? Griffey -CF Freel, Denorfia, N. Hopper compete for the other two positions, or do they Reds try to sign or trade for another bat with some power for the outfield?

October 3, 200619 yr I wonder what Casey would say if asked by the big shots in Detroit about Dunn...
