If you think Lorenzen has earned his stripes you're watching something different than I am. He's gotten no one out 2nd half of season and his arrogance is overwhelming

I agree, he was fairly disappointing this year. He seems to be a really hard worker so hopefully he gets it figured out in the off season.

Just don't see it happening. Too many other guys already lined up. As it is, I'd say it looks like there's a good chance Finnegan and Garrett could both end up in the pen because of the numbers.

I agree that Lorenzen likely won't be a starter. I think Finnegan will be stretched out as a starter but I think he gets relegated to the bullpen as well at some point. I do believe Garrett projects well as a starter and remains in the rotation (either MLB or AAA).

I wasn't impressed with Garrett at all. In think he's best suited as a LH specialist out of the bullpen.

So you think 2.9 HR and 5.1 BB per 9 screams someone that needs to be in the rotation?

Where did I say that?

It's just well known that any time you post in a Reds thread, specifically one about their prospects, it's going to be a negative post. It's funny to me.

Which is way off from his minor leagues numbers. It was 70 innings with an injury mixed in. Lots of young pitchers struggle and figure it out down the road. Throwing him into a lefty specialist role after 70 inning sample is silly.

He wasn't much better in AAA and his K/BB ratio has been pretty poor all through the minors. He just doesn't look like a starter to me.
