Columbus, Ohio based St. Francis DeSales rolls down I-71 for a 7pm match-up with Covington Catholic. The D-III Stallions are 6-0 all time against the Colonels and won last year's game in Columbus by a score of 42 - 17.

SFD is coming off a surprising 42- 7 loss to Indianapolis Bishop Chatard, who CovCath plays next week to complete round robin play. The loss dropped SFD to 3 - 1 on the season and snapped a 22 game regular season winning streak. SFD has beaten Cardinal Mooney (Youngstown, OH) (28-7), Lancaster (OH) (34-14), and Royal Imperial Collegiate (St. Catharines, Ontario). Long time CovCath fans will remember Cardinal Mooney.

Players to watch for SFD: Brian Asamoah (RB/LB), Brandon Derrow (OL/DL), Carter Hilleary (DB/WR), Cullen Krombach (OL/DL), Will Mnich (DL/OL), Frank Sciarroni (DB/RB/P), Cole Silvestri (QB), Ty Van Fossen (LB/H-back) and Joey Velazquez (RB/DB).

Derrow is committed to play for Colorado State, Van Fossen is committed to Cincinnati, and Asamoah is committed to Oklahoma.

Questions:

1) Can CovCath avoid a let down after the neighborhood battle in Ft. Mitchell with Beechwood?

2) Will SFD bounce back and right the ship after the surprising loss to Indianapolis Chatard?

3) How many points will SFD score without departed running back Alonzo Booth, who had 20 carries for a school-record 320 yards and five touchdowns in last year's game? Booth is now in the backfield for EKU.

I do not see a let down after the Beechwood game. They came in and took care of business without having to go through an emotional win. They were in control from the opening kick-off.

This will be a battle for the dudes in blue in white.

No doubt. CovCath really struggled with SFD's run game last year. Booth may be gone, but they have Asamoah back. I doubt the offensive schemes have changed much from last year so the Colonel defense have a tall task ahead of them.

SFD is 10th in the Harbin Ratings released this week for Region 11.

A win over CovCath would give them a very nice Harbin boost:
