Nice win for the Jumpers!

Great win for the Jumpers.

Great Job by the D and nice job by Alex Ham stepping in at starting QB for the first time for the Jumpers.

As always when you go to Hazard, if you leave with a win you are fortunate.

Give my 2 cents shortly...

Injury to Hazard RB really seemed to throw them off what they wanted to do...hope his injury isn't serious.

Cory Smith? That would be a big loss for Hazard.

Yes it would. I'm not sure what it was but he tryed to return when hazard got it inside the 5 but 1 play did him in and he never returned.

Somerset is dang good.. Defense was hard hitting all night and it be hard for any team to run on them. Their pass defense was pretty solid too. Somerset threw the ball a lot more than running it.

Hazard has to get better. Not a bad loss either. Hazard has to get healthy if there going to make it back to state. Hazard better be working on the passing game. The play calling was very vanilla to me and predictable. Must throw the ball down field to keep those safeties from being up in the box. You also got a 6,2 receiver that you need to throw the deep ball too. Threw it to him finally on a deep route when the game was over.

Somerset also in my opinion wanted this game more as well. Hazard was confused all night. Good thing next week is the bye week and give time for get healthy and work on some things.

Somerset must be loaded

They gave Beechwood a tough game last week. Rain had a little to do with it and Beechwood failed to score inside the 5 a couple of times, but they play hard and physical. Good win on the road for them.

Well, they have some puzzle pieces that still need filled but overall, it's a good squad. Their end of regular season record probably won't be indicative how good they are. I'm not sure they have enough for Danville and maybe not enough for LCA. If they win every other game on the schedule, it'll be a pretty nice season and should have them ready for post season. Right now I'm just hoping they have answers for North Laurel next weekend.

My thoughts are with the RB from Hazard. I hope that knee ends up being at worst a hyperextention. He's too valuable to what they do.

I also hope whatever kept the Jumpers starting QB on the sidelines isn't serious.

Somerset seems to be getting beter and better. It was good to see them play, earlier this year.

I'm glad to see the Briar Jumpers, one of Corbin's old rivals, getting their program back to where it should be. Back in the day, it was Corbin, Somerset, and Middlesboro as the SEKY powerhouse triumvirate. Those three schools played some great games among themselves. I'd like to see Middlesboro get back to where they once were as well. Come on Jackets.

I think there was a time that all three were ranked in the top 5 in the old 2A...back in the early 80's...and in the same district at the time.
